Cricket Leagues - Support and Advice

^look at his stats if you think his batting stats are good enough you can class him as an all-rounder

A small query. Wikipedia show Kyle Mills as an All Rounder, but Cricinfo shows him as a bowler. What is he exactly?

He is a bowler who can add few quickfire runs. Somewhat better than Harbhajan Singh of India in ODIs but not as good as Perera of Srilanka. Actually, he has the ability of hit the ball but you can't depend on him as a late order batsman barring few occasional sparks.

So more of a bowling all rounder or a bowler?

You should just rate players based on how good they. Whether they are "officially" a bowler or an all-rounder, or a keeper or a keeper-batsman shouldn't matter.

I myself rate everyone first, and then I class players on the first post based on what I rated them. So for a completely hypothetical example, everyone knows Chris Martin's a specialist bowler, but say I rated his batting as 20, then I would class him as a bowling all-rounder on the first post. FTR my cut-off point for bowlers/bowling all-rounders is 18 batting, so if someone's got 17 or less batting then I'll put them down as a specialist bowler, while if someone's got 18 batting up to the genuine all-rounder cut-off then I'll put them down as a bowling all-rounder.

In response to that question, most people would class keepers as full-time keepers, i.e. Dhoni etc. even though they're good enough to be batsmen, and keeper-batsman as part-time keepers, i.e. Umar Akmal, BJ Watling etc. Again whether they are a keeper or a keeper-batsman, it shouldn't effect what you rate their batting, because most people do that to differentiate between full-time and part-time keepers.

Firstly make sure that you have read the rules. We recommend that you participate in some leagues first before starting one, because that will enable you to gain some experience and it will give you some ideas of leagues that you could start.

You can either request the graphics in the graphics forum, or you can make your own.

how do i enter a leauge

New threads are opened once in a while in the Leagues Section. Your best chance of attaining a managing opening would probably be through that means. However, League owners of existing leagues might occasionally need a manager should a vacancy arise, in which case they would probably just drop a post in the Announcements thread. Hope I've been of help. :)

Also guys. Forgive me for being the philosophical person I am. But. I was just wondering if changing the Bowling average of somebody who has been set as a keeper in Cricsim affects his keeping abilities?... my assumption is probably wrong, but just wondering...

You should normally keep the bowling average of a keeper to 0. Maybe it'll take effect if you play two keepers at a time.
