DBC14 | Full Game Play with BARS Video

For everyone asking about swing....
1.) Swing is attained off air and off the pitch in some cases[due to the wind]
2.)For getting swing the seam is held straight but the angle of release differs....
3.)For inswing the rough side should be on the right and shiny side on the left...
Angling in towards right handed and away from left handed batsman
4.)For outswing the rough side should be on the left and shiny side on the right...
Angling away from right handed and angling in to left handed batsman

The rough side is the direction where the ball swings..
The delivery bowled in the video was to get seam movement but possibility of swing on such delivery is possible only with wind movement....:cheers

The heavier side i.e the shinier side is the direction where the ball swings..

This is just plain, 100% wrong. You're describing reverse swing.

With conventional swing, it swings TOWARDS the rough side

It's a testament to this game that we are discussing such details. Has any other video game ever had such detail...

In regards to the swing debate... I'm a leg spinner so swing bowling is just witchcraft. :D

One thing that i really like from the video that hasnt really been spoken about (or maybe its just me) Is the atmosphere.
Not so much the crowd and the noise but it really feels as though the Stands are right on top of you.
It gives a better feeling of being in the middle rather than just watching it on TV.

Id imagine the feeling is only greater with a full house in the stands.
I hope that it isnt just this particular stadium that gives off this impression.

I was thinking about that the other day, will there be a different atmostphere for say, Test Match cricket and T20 cricket?

I'm pretty sure(not 100%) that Ross has said that its going to be a different atmosphere for Test/ODI/T20.

Dutch, as you know, I never discriminate.

Not visual atmosphere, but sonically... like the crowds you get at the popgun cricket T20 cricket seem to be vastly more intense, noisy and get drunk a lot quicker enjoy the game loud.

Whereas, in test cricket you generally get a more refined 'appreciative' crowd of the well timed shots, not just boundaries.

I loved the crowd sound in the video. You could see it wasn't quite full and it sounded like it. That kind of echo you get at big grounds where there are some empty seats....

I remember in BLC 96/99, you could easily differentiate if the match was being played in India or not. The crowd would cheer every single run whereas in other countries boundaries were appreciated.
