Among the many series I've on my list to play is the 2005 Ashes as I made those teams in the academy.

couldn't get any game time tonight so had a quick go at the England kit sponsors from that series/era.

A little while ago i'd have been in the @cricket_online camp regards to mods, as i've been to licenses generally.

the academy lets us create players and share across platforms and that's great - really gets away from the license issue and keeps teams fresh/up to date. regarding the kits/bats etc... well go back to Ashes 13 thread and you'll see my thoughts on "licensed kit items"...

i used to play with a few mods, then had to do a fresh install on a new computer and couldn't be bothered doing the mods again. i would have told you I wasn't missing a thing.

BUT... i've recently started putting the mods back in. i'm playing the 82 rebel tour with my logos, i've got retro bats I, @quincy159 @robbie_the_dips & @Madman have made and i would be lying if I said it didn't add an extra layer of enjoyment. the springbok logo I made especially - obviously i understand the game was never gonna have the springbok logo or old south africa flag, but equally it didn't feel right having them play under the new flag and the goat logo was a poor substitute!

gameplay is king, but the mods are a lovely cherry on top.

Looks pretty good for a, "quick go".

What a great Ashes series too. Even as an Australian I would rate it one of, if not the best Ashes series of all time.

helps that I had very good quality source images.

Ashes or no Ashes, I can't think of a better series I've seen. the recent Eng v NZ was quality, but only 2 matches.

The only other series that I believe comes close is the 1992/93 Sir Frank Worrell Trophy, Australia v West Indies, where Australia held a 1-0 lead with two tests to play. Then at Adelaide the 4th Test ends in the closest result in history with the West Indies victors by 1 run, followed by the West Indies routing Australia in the decider at Perth for a 2-1 series win.

A point of note, Allan Border bagged a pair in that final test which I believe that was the only time he did so during his test career.

After I play the 1992 World Cup, that Sir Frank Worrell Trophy series will be next.

doesn't show up perfectly being so small, i'll try and get a better shot of it, but this is the old ACB logo that was on Aussie shirts from at least the 70s to the early 90s. (n.b. XXXX sponsor is @quincy159, my work is just the emblem)

I have also done the test kit and sponsors for the 2005 England Ashes side, as well as the England logo.

Thanks. Have done the Aussie 2005 sponsors (Travelex & Fila) but needs a bit of tweaking - will have to wait for tomorrow, my bed is calling!

Looks like a good start, I don't think you are that far away. Maybe just the proportions need a bit of work?

I think I need to not be too true to the original, it has a lot of blue space to the left of the words, and that means by the time you get the right size the words are unintelligible.
