DBC17 Features!

I might be misinterpreting your post. But you weren't expecting DBC17 to be better than DBC14?
Of course i was, but it came out much higher than my expectations...thats what got me amazed! ;)

New article on IGN highlighting some of the confirmed features in DBC17:

To the great people at Big Ant Studios,
Thank You so much... I am dying to play this game. The SCG update has been amazing and just looking at the career mode feature is making me drool on my keyboard. I just wanna thank you for providing us with such a spectacle of a game. And lastly... just take my money please. :)

Feature Like : Captains Record : Will definitely make to you to become captain and win the team under your captaincy , Captain Ranking will be good to implement .

Comparison of Records with historical Data

@Ross - is it possible to just be a plain batsman and not have to bowl? Even though I play as a specialist batsman (usually opener), I'm required to select a bowling type and still get called to bowl, usually during shorter form games (one day, 20/20) - the worst thing is, I'm required to bowl when theres like 3 overs left and they need 25 runs to win!!! then I get caned.

If I select specialist batsman (for career mode), can I NOT be required to bowl?

there should also be an option of rejecting the offer of captaincy when you get one
sometimes i only like to bat and do nothing else when i am a senior player in career mode
but then i have to captain the team as well
seems very time consuming to me by going through every over
changing the field
changing the bowling

Just be a keeper batsman pal, you never get called upon that way :thumbs and you can bat at whatever position you want too...

The other thing I would love to be able to do is set captaincy plans because if I try and simulate through bowling overs as captain the game will automatically make bowling changes for me even if I just simulate one over at a time.

For example I'll simulate one over at a time of Porter and Napier at the start of the innings and then when I go simulate the 7th over it'll just change to Bopara or Ryder when I want my opening bowlers to bowl a proper opening spell. More customisation of bowling options in simulation when captaining in Career would be most welcome.

Also being able to change the batting line-up without losing the captaincy in the next innings or having a bowler behind the stumps.

lol yeah but doesn't that mean you have to keep? I'm on there to bat. Just me. bat as long as I can then sim until i bat again! :)
Nah just sim it buddy with the sim button after patch 3... ive never been asked to bowl as of yet... and if i ever did get asked to bowl while keeping they would have to be like 2-3006 after 50.1 overs

Is there going to be plain grass, without stripes or squares, in the game?

Will the teams stay pretty much the same unlike in Cricket Captain where Australia start playing random kids and unproven Sheffield Shield players instead of starc and smith

Ross, Matt and team...after playing 500hrs online i somehow feel button A to leave a ball is the option which is not used at all...because no one is premeditated to leave ball...just watching the ball closely and not offering a shot should give a batsmen a leave kind of animation and use the button A for some other action...try considering this...thanks
