Domestic cricket 06/07 in Australia

No declearation from Victoria yet, looks like they will bat part of tomorrow before declaring unless they have been bowled out. Hopefully it ends up in a draw.

Looks like we are going to see bottom beat top in the FRC game today. Tait looked wayward early on giving 8 wides but came back well to confirm his Mr death title. Dizzy bowled a good opening spell too.
Not important, but anyone who reads the CA ladder may notice that QLD are on top, despite the fact that VIC are in fact 1st, read the NRR column.

Hilfenhaus is having a good game so far today... 6 overs 1/11. Interesting to see how Lindsay and Siddle will do on their re-calls. I think Vic have secured a place in the final though...

Thats a very McGrath like spell problem is the other bowlers have let that pressure off though in particular Butterworth.

Should have played Finchy. We've got enough bowlers, and his batting isnt strong enough.

McDonald in the wickets again today. Great knock from Hussey gave Victoria a very good total and they've basically got this game wrapped up.

Hope David Hussey gets a chance to play International Cricket someday, would be great to have another Hussey but a more aggressive one.

Someone bowled like Murali and Mark Taylor called a no ball. Must've taken practice though because he got it perfectly (or close to it) and I can't execute it properly.

David Hussey in the runs again for Vic, he should get his chance in ODI or tests soon along with Mike. On a team note it was a quality performance to secure a home final and Crosthwaite made a few runs which is always good to see. For Tas Hlifenhaus again bowled well, I understand why you aussies think so well of him now.

Yep Drew I thought he looked quality in his brief stint for Australia at the start of one dayers. Not sure why they didn't give him more chances and instead persisted with the dross from Johnson and Clark.

I think they handled it similar to the Stuart Broad situation, not wanting Collingwood to smash him all over the place (Which would of been inevitable really, and by the New Zealanders).

If you're good enough there should be no hiding, he at least deserved the right to show what he can do. His economical bowling early on (showed it in his last FRC game) along with his swing is something we've been missing.
