Don Bradman Cricket 14 General Discussion

I would have done the latter but as it was already wrapped and at the post office, I decided it wasn't worth it. I think I'll wait until Boxing Day to get my Christmas presents in the future. I've found that games don't go down until many months or a year after release though. That means, by some weird principle, everyone I know will be getting DBC14 for birthdays and Christmas this year.

Doesn't hold true for PS3 & Xbox 360 games anymore. I have seen new titles sold for $39 in North America when the normal price for the games is usually $59. With PS4 and Xbone games being sold for that price ($59), it's inevitable the price of the previous gen consoles will come down.

I've barely glanced at games since the next gen consoles have come out. I'm just waiting for DBC14 before upgrading.

I'm waiting for the hardware problems to go away before I upgrade. There are always issues in the first iteration of a new hardware and once those issues are resolved I would move up to PS4. But I'm sure you will see drop in prices of previous gen consoles in UK as well.

Worse than that, 20 years ago the "life of Brian" wasn't allowed on tv, I went out and bought it, only for channel 4 to air it on the "banned" season a few days later!! I was doin my apprenticeship at the time earning ?32 a week ant it cost me ?13.99!!! Needless to say with beer goin for ?1.70 back then it basically cost me a night out!!

You can't complain about making a Beatle richer, surely* :)

*to be fair George Harrison put his house on the line for MP to be able to make the movie.

I watched a documentary about it a while back, didn't know how close they came to never releasing it! Was never a Beatles fan but fair play to him, ill be forever grateful, what a great film!! Even the song at the start has me in fits!!!

Story goes he went into it because he wanted to see the film made so he could watch it - his bankers and advisors were dead against it and indicated that it could bankrupt him. Pretty ballsy to back such a controversial movie.

I saw an interview with Cleese where he said the MP crew still to this day can't believe George put it all on the line for them.

Yeah it was definitely a big risk, not to mention the backlash it got from religious groups!! Just goes to show what can be achieved when you believe in something and have the right people in your corner!! The other MP films had their moments but LoB was in a different league!!

My lady friend (not me) is asking when the game is being released. I can wait as long as I need to but she reckons that my crimbo pressie pile looked short on Dec 25th.....to the tune of one DB Cricket 2014 xbox game. She got me loads of other fab pressies , but knows that I was hoping to get the game for crimbo.
Could anyone settle her down by giving or implying a release date please.

My pet Zebra has been diagnosed with type two diabetes so If someone can tell me the final price of the game that would be great. :yes
