Don Bradman Cricket 14 General Discussion

In UK Xbox games can range from ?35-45 for new releases so ill be expecting it to be in that range! Ill definitely be getting it ASAP as it was was I asked the Missis to get me for Xmas!!

I'm not demanding anything here, but I would expect a new game to release through the expected channels (digital on PC) and at a price in line with the the rest of the market - it would be pretty disappointing if that doesn't happen.

one more option-
d) combination of (a) and (b). Release at same time relatively same price, make a reduction in price after a while.

And thats sounds to me the best option too.

How is that a combination of a and b?

Oh well done angad sing the 11000th post like that...:facepalm

Release at same time (a), reduction in price later(b).
Yeah, second part is not exactly b, but they are similar. Ross said delay in release, I said reduction in price later(delay in reduction of price). Again, I say, they are not exactly SAME!

I don't really care what price it is. Most new games are around the same price. I can't see any retailer charging $30 more or $30 less than other games on their shelf, which is why discussing price is redundant for me.

PC gamers should be consider themselves lucky to get a release date the same as consoles let alone there being a digital release the same day.

Hey, us PC gamers are lucky.. we got exclusive access to Ashes Cricket 2013.. for a couple of days.. :lol

The only digital release for PC that I could envisage on or around worldwide retail release date would be Amazon. As per my original point, I think distributors would not appreciate a digital PC release on Steam but 'may' not be as concerned as Amazon. Alternatively, Amazon sales only through physical disc copy.

Release at same time (a), reduction in price later(b).

Well, most games, as with most things in the world, come down in price eventually.. just a matter of time.

I can't remember the last time a decent PC game released disc-only, that way of distribution is pretty much dead.

The only thing worse than paying a high price for a game is seeing it drop quickly after you buy it.

Happens at Christmas. I bought a ?25 book to see it at ?12 next day in the same shop. Very frustrating.

Never happened with any of our titles over the last four years.

Worse than that, 20 years ago the "life of Brian" wasn't allowed on tv, I went out and bought it, only for channel 4 to air it on the "banned" season a few days later!! I was doin my apprenticeship at the time earning ?32 a week ant it cost me ?13.99!!! Needless to say with beer goin for ?1.70 back then it basically cost me a night out!!

well I had a decent contribution towards the cost of DBC today with Double Ross winning the 2.30 at Cheltenham at 15/8.

If only I hadn't changed my selection in the 1.20 I'd have paid for all that and more!
