Don Bradman Cricket 14 General Discussion

I don't believe there is a game in development, however it would be interesting to figure out how the Ashes brand could recover with regard to video games. Would you actively point out it's not related to the past one? Maybe time lets it recover?

The latest one was at pains to distance themselves from 2009/2010 even though that was the better game (obviously) but tried to have the association of "safe hands", neither of these would be available to whomever does it next.

But yeah, someone's on drugs.

The best option would probably to be what EA did in 2007 and have a special "Ashes" mode inside another game.

Thinking about that; its actually really good and should have been in every other Ashes game - for those who haven't played it; it gives you two scenarios from each test in the 2005 Ashes for both teams. Take that, attach it to a game engine that's actually fun to play with, perhaps make it random scenarios from other Ashes (Headingly in 1981, Edgbaston from 2005 come to mind right now, probably a bit of bodyline as well) and release it in an Ashes year...

The scenarios mode in BLC99 and BLIC05 were seriously really fun because of the nature of the scenarios; imagine how good it would be to have those in an actually good game!

When do we get PC review and is Ross
Sorting you out with a review copy ?
Will be buying it like everyone else. Review will be a few weeks away so there is time to try everything in the game.

Barmy would probably be doing the "official" review.
