...well that and the game is pretty freakin' amazing and the guys clearly had no idea about cricket, how to play the game or wanted to "Review" it with any kind of sincerity. I mean, sure... Ashes 13 is a mess and deserves everything it got, but this game as a cricket one, is spectacular. I think "idiot" was the soft terminology. I wouldn't last an hour on a site that you get banned for calling an idiot... an idiot.

All that being said, the video is hilarious. I love watching people that don't "get" cricket play/watch cricket.

Just to be clear, I'm not calling the guys who made the video idiots - they're trying to be entertaining and they're awesome at that. It's funny. Yeah, and they still made it a tight match that went down to the last ball.

It's the context: The swearing in the video is just conversational, not attacking. It's not name-calling, which people are altogether more sensitive about.

Mind you, if anyone thinks this is a new PR strategy then they obviously never visited the old Sidhe rugby forums back in the day! That wasn't just the general public either: some awesome CEO vs CEO fights right there. Sadly it doesn't seem to have been preserved.

Yep, RLL2 was coming and the biggest forums at the time, and our biggest supporter base who loved our stuff, were on the Sidhe forums at the time. I'd be pissed too if the BA forums were all about someone else's superior game

If you wear your heart on your sleeve, you often end up with a target on your back. People are especially sensitive to devs weighing in to defend their games, especially on a neutral site where they are seen as an "outsider".

As I've said before, I wouldn't get involved. Some people are reasonable. Others not so much.
