Emerging Players Tournament 2007

I don't think Papps has even played a game. Adams has only played in a few. We are mainly using the emergers. I really like James McMillan, he looks quite difficult to face. He needs to stay injury free.

We got thrashed in the recent match. Bowled out for 81. Wasn't our best side we could field. It's never good to lose that badly.

Crap day for us too, when Bailey is top scoring you know there is problems.
AIS 198/8 (C Bailey 49, C 3-16)
Karnataka 2/190 (C 76)
Karnataka Win by 8 wickets

SA A 323/6 (Botha 63*, Ontong 58, McMillan 2-46)
NZ A 81/10 (Philander 5-18)
South Africa A Win by 242 runs

"C" would be Chandrashekar Raghu, according to detailed scores.

Might explain the COE teams' under performing. Something tells me if 3 of them got suspended for "repeated inappropriate treatment of accommodation facilities", then there's a few more being indifferent to discipline.

Also, for anyone with sports connections in Brisbane, the rumour mill wants to know what they did.

Final Round results

NZ A 10/278 (Broom 62, Marshall 57, Dhananjaya 4-44)
Karnataka 10/245 (Chipli 76, McMillan 2-31)

NZ A win by 33 runs

AIS 9/189 (Ronchi 65, Hughes 58, Botha 3-27)
SA A 3/190 (Bodi 86, du Plessis 62, Heal 2-35)

SA A win by 7 wickets.

So the Finals are
Final 1: New Zealand v South Africa at Allan Border Field
Final 2: AIS v Karnataka State Association at Sandgate Redlands

Wow didn't see NZ A losing this tournament after going so strong through the round robin.

Ronchi and Heal have been the pick of our players this tournament good to see we finished on a high.

Bit of a shame. Typical really.

They did well though. I'm sure they'll take a lot from the experience. With them not using Papps, you can tell they wern't really concerned with winning, more with haveing a look. Broom performed quite well. I rekon James McMillan will be in the black caps one day if he stays injury free. I've seen him bowl. He has a bit of a funny action, maybe a little like Tait and he's also one of the fastest in the country, usually in the 140's.

Dam I thought NZ were set to win this Tournament, anyways congrats to the South African Team.
