How unsportsmanlike by England. They see that the umpire gave it not out so they go off on a run celebrating to make him feel like he's got it wrong and will go to the other umpire and then to the third umpire. Effectively, they've tried to use DRS even though it's not in place.

I would bring Bairstow in but for Patel not Bell. Patel was only picked as part of a 1 spinner policy in the first test. Seeing as he's not doing any bowling we might as well pick a batsman.

Fifth bowler option is useful, Bell is currently not that bar the odd run out Maybe if England are 2-1 up you could argue for bringing in extra batting, you could even argue for three spinners and batting down to eight - Prior, Patel, Swann, Anderson, Panesar. Aesthetically it is nice to have two seamers, take the new ball and maybe get some movement and early wickets, but in India the longer game suggests spin is king and if Panesar or Swann aren't getting wickets it is useful to have an alternate spinner who can.

Its about time the selectors look at a new opening pair.

To be fair they clearly thought he hit it. There was no attempt to con the umpires imo.
Umpire review is allowed under the rules even without DRS.

Oh do second word off, it's bad enough you bellends have your knickers in a knot over DRS but then to twist it as if England are unsportsmanlike is just stupid. The indians would be all over the umpire like he was Custer if the situations were reversed.

Anyway, shouldn't you be worrying about the failings of your precious side? Maybe they need to cheat a bit more, brown paper bag in the direction of Custer might be a bit more productive than turning your prepubescant anger at England.

About time the ICC enforced DRS for all series, all countries, no exceptions. If India/BCCI don't like it maybe they should play cricket with some other countries.

Maybe if India team up with Ireland, Scotland, Holland et al and form a rival set up, naturally just called the BCCI since they like to decide everything, they might actually win!

To be fair to the opening pair, they gave a pretty good start this time around.
