England at 213/7 after 47.2 overs. Fantastic work from Dhoni to remove Colliflower and a beauty of a slowerball to dismiss Blackie from Sreesanth.

9 down now. Not looking good for England...

At one stage, I thought 250+ would be a total that India might be chasing.

As an Indian fan, I would be pretty satisfied at how it has panned out and I would hope for my team to chase it down successfully with the added benefit that they are on a red hot chasing streak with some 11 odd wins in recent times coming chasing. we havent lost chasing since when? it definitely goes back to zimbabwe 2005 (the venue of the ganguly-chappell soap opera)

I feel Sehwag might get into form today. This pitch has some respite for him. He might not have the awkward bounce to contend with. The pitch is terribly slow and even a normal ball bowled gets good turn. But Sehwag is far far better facing turners and with low bounce, he might be the one to prosper here.

Yep. This should be an ideal track for Sehwag to be among runs. Don't be surprised...if u see a shuffle in the top order. I expect either Kaif or Raina up-the order.

Good performance overall. Key points was Flintoff and Pieterson dismissals. I saw the the first innings, Dhoni's run-out was very good...very good reflexes, and accuracy.

Few dropped catches, and some shoddy fielding in many cases, so scope for improvement but they should be happy.

England will regret the loss of wickets at the end, and also lacking a player who can finish off the innings. Pieterson looked set but a tame dismissal at the end.

Indian run chase in about 20 minutes...will be interesting, especially with England seamers capable of those in-cutters at slower speeds.

excellent bowling by india esp in the depth.
england need a finisher like yuvraj / dhoni ! :)

as said above, this is an ideal track for sehwag to score runs..
hope he doesnt disappoint us again. if he does, his place
is really in trouble ;)

GO INDIA ! GO ! :happy :cheers

Ideal track to score runs?

Are we watching the same game/pitch?

Slow, low, turning.
This will be tough for India, I expect them to do it though.

KP annoys you soo much 2 great consecutive shots then flops one to Rahul Dravid.

If India had a player called Blackwell and I called him Blackie.......

For those watching the live coverage, commentator L. Shivaramakrishnan was nothing short of HILARIOUS!!!!

At the fall of Liam Plunkett's wicket (England 223 or something and the final ball of the 49th over)

"There you go, India have got right back into the game" - L.Shiva

Mate seriously does he think that 9th wicket when those guys were slogging, has brought India back into the game?

"Anything under 230 and India would look to go for it" -L.Shiva

Seriously is this guy insane? Does he think this india will look to bat out for a draw in this game if it is above 230???

Kp annoys you soo much

He wouldn't annoy you half as much if at least two other batsman could support him whenever we play a ODI ;)

I am beginning to lose a bit of faith with Fletcher in regards to ODIs. I think the man has been a godsend to England, and being a far bigger fan of test cricket the results are evident.

However at which point does playing two wicketkeepers ahead of a specialist batsman make sense? Bell and Solanki must be wondering if they should learn how to keep poorly to get into the team :p

And to add, I think India will cruise this one. The pitch is not condusive to bowling short, and Blackwell as a spinner is not going to pick up 3-5 wickets.

(Hopefully I'll be eating some humble pie later, but I doubt it)

right now its Arun lal and Atherton but yea...LS is very hilarious! He tends to exxaggerate his style, gets very annoying.

Good positive start by India..

61/0 after 13 overs is a very positive start on this wicket which is expected to be really hard for batting.

I told you, Sehwag will score runs here. Only one ball from Flintoff troubled Sehwag, otherwise most of the short pitched ones were to his likeable height and he played them off without problem. Gambhir did well too.

If these two can go on to a 100 run partnership, FANTASTIC! I would then say India might cruise to the target!

I like it with a side of custard please ;) Even if India do win this, no way the term "cruised" will be able to apply as I thought it might.

Have to add, Sai matey you seem to have produced the commentators curse :p

well we have a game on now. :happy Hope Raina and Yuvi keep their cool and get us another victory. :happy
