Cool i was just excited about the result.

Great win for england and much deserved. It would end fittingly if we win the next match as well, well in my eyes it would. Great performance from hoggard, and flintoff. Shame i slept thru trescothicks innings but i see he hit four sixes, may have to watch the highlights later for that. :cheer

I had this bizarre sense of deja-vu when Pollock was hit and (quite rightly) took time to recover. I had a nasty feeling the light would close in and rob us again as per the 2nd test.

Fantastic test match. Reminded me of Headingly '81

Great result to a superb Test; could've gone either way up till Tres took the game away from SA this morning, and to take 10 wickets with a semi-depleted attack in just under 2 sessions is a great effort from the boys. We could even afford a couple of dropped catches too . Just wouldn't be like watching England if they did it the easy way : .
Credit to the Saffies too; great knocks by Gibbs and Smith added to the tension. Great stuff.
And yes Stevie, it'll be interesting to hear from Shevchenko, although I reckon he may go quiet like he did after England whipped SA at Rugby Union .
