England in Sri Lanka March-April 2011/12

Haha Stinky yeah good point :p

I'm not being funny, but there is no difference between Monty and Samit bowling at the moment. Both flat and straight.

spinners thrive on confidence, that's another one of monty's problems. there's so many ways his confidence can be damaged, and I don't see him as being fueled with infinite self-belief, not a huge fan of swann but I think being such a gobby, stuck up turd of a man works in his advantage as a player.

----------

england might take a psychological edge into the 2nd innings after bundling SL out and getting back in the match (they still have to bundle them out though, SL has a decent tail and chandimal and prasana can bat) but 200 is definitely enough for sri lanka to start the 4th innings as favourites.

Excellent point about Monty Stinky. Yet another reason he is not an international cricketer.

----------

Am I going blind or was Monty actually caught at slip?

Herath taking 6 wickets

Oh never mind, they are playing England.

Swanny's the best spinner in the world and an indispensable part of the English team. He's a lethal wicket taker. He's proved his worth again today!

Well I probably wouldn't go that far. Ajmal proved earlier this year that he's probably better at present. ;)
Hopefully this will help Swann get his confidence back as he has been bowling poorly in recent times.

SL have got more than enough. Herath's going to have a field day tomorrow.

I think Ajmal has definitely supplanted the Swannmeister general, but definitely good to see him looking more like himself again. Felt he mixed it up a lot more and seemed more certain about what he was doing.

England's batting woes continue. I've been counting the days until the next Ashes for quite some time and as it draws closer, I grow more confident, almost to the point where I will be disappointed to face this current line-up.

England need to start looking towards the future, guys like Christiaan Jonker, Pieter Malan, Francois le Clus, Brett Pelser, Aubrey Swanepoel, are all promising youngsters that have been scoring runs in domestic, but I've never even seen them mentioned as potential England players.
