so the declaration on 600.

here is the prediction, Smith makes a slow ass 20+ and goes out to some shot out of nowhere.

Dare added 37 Minutes and 47 Seconds later...

bah no-ball

Yep, did look a no ball, but other than that it was a correct decision. Pitched on, impact inside and was going on to hit leg-stump. Did look like a no ball though, didn't appear to be anything behind the line.

Seems Sidey's back to his old self as well. He was massively down on pace in his last few games, and today he's back to the mid 80's, and he's showing the Sidebottom aggression as well, not heard him shout and scream at himself after bowling a delivery for a while. Has certainly been a good start from Jimmy and Sidey, another wicket would be fantastic.

Not followed the days play much today, preferring to watch 6 Nations Rugby instead. But still think it was a mistake to go for Bopara instead of a bowler. Congrats to him on his century, but did we need him in the side? No. They could have got to 600 without him easily and even if they hadn't made the magic number, it probably would have been enough. Stupid decision to go into the test match a bowler light when you haven't managed to take 20 wickets in the series so far. England must now bowl out the Windies cheaply and enforce the bloody follow-on! Can they do it? Can a certain bird fly? Which bird? Penguins?

Good on Bopara, gutted for Colly:noway

Is the Cook problem really that bad, apart from personaly? I mean if he is scoring 50 every game and taking the shine of the ball...

Not that big a problem aslong as he keeps getting 50s.

Hopefully we can get an early wicket here today and hopefully some reverse swing. Its imperative that Sarwan and then Chanderpaul are got rid of quickly or else it could be a long day on what is a flat, flat pitch.

System needs scrapping all together in my opinion or it should be be the umpires who ask for help to see on decisions like that to see whether it pitched in line and hit in line and the like.

There's no way they can speed it up though, the umpire has to take his time. Right decision was made though, another pointless referral. He'd have known he didn't hit that first. When will batsmen know not to refer lbw's? Pietersen's yesterday for example was just a waste of a referral, he was plumb.

I agree, referal system needs mullering.

Change the bowling, Pietersen, Colly, Shah, Strauss, Cook, Tim ANYONE

Swann you beauty. Great bowling.

Need to dismiss Chanderpaul or Sarwan quick because they can stay in for hours.

Aleem Dar proving himself to be a very good umpire once again, unlike Rudi Koertzen who didn't seem to know what the LBW rule was all about.

Sarwan's already in the 80's, I can't see him sticking around for too much longer. He doesn't make big hundreds, only has 1 score above 139, so hopefully we'll get him soon. Then it'll just be a matter of giving the ball to Broad to pick up his bunny Chanderpaul :p, or Shandrapaul as Mikey Holding calls him. England in a good position here, hopefully we can get them out today.
