Teague Strikes Again​

Michael Slater: We said he was going to be a crucial member of the team over the next 12 months and he isn't disapointing us today. Dilshan the man to go this time, as he falls victim to some fine revers-swing bowling from Teague.

Mark Nicholas: Yep, there is that key phrase again, "Reverse-Swing", Jack Teague is an absolute master of it and he made Dilshan look clueless from ball one. Dilshan thought the ball would swing away but instead, it swing back in late and got the outside edge of Dilshan's bat.

Crouch stars in Rabbitoh thrashing!​

Promising young English-West Indian allrounder Ryan Crouch starred in his club TT Lion's thrashing of Rabbitohs in the PC Championship.
Batting at number 5, he swatted an unbeaten 104 off 93 balls, studded with 9 boundaries and a mammoth six. The Lion's ended up scoring 289 a/o in 47.5 overs.
Then, after a 30 minute break, he took the new ball and proceeded to run through the Rabbitohs top order with a spell of 4/16 in 5 overs, including 3 wickets in a single over. The Rabbithos preoceeded to collapse to 109 a/o in 27.5 overs.
After recieving his Man of the Match award, Crouch had a few words to say:
"I am glad and feel honoured to be part of such a good team. This was a team effort, and I couldn't have done it without them. I feel I am in the form of my life. However, I regret what I said about not being selected for England. It is just that after working so hard for the country I love, it is dissapointing to not be selected. Even though West Indies is my home, I have a British passport, and have spent a lot of time there. I learned all I know about cricket there, and is dissapointing to not be able to play for them. But I will keep working, and hope I finally get selected."

Crouch is scheduled to play a game on the 4th of August against club team Jakedalli in a Divison 3 league fixture.

Geraint Jones:England's captain has done it again for his country, and it's another little away-swinger which has sent Mubarak packing.

Dean Jones: Yeah that's how the captain has been bowling all day, and the 3 wickets he has now are all well deserved.

Somerset Announce Signing​

Somerset coach Andy Hurry, today announced that they would like Jack Teague to be their new signing.The 14 year old has been playing for the England squad against Sri Lanka and Andy Hurry noticed him.Teague was born in Somerset and they knew he would love to sign for them.Teague is still out on the field in the country's colours but i'm sure he'll be very happy when he finds out.The all rounder has already taken 2 wickets in the 1st test at Lords but his batting is the strong point and Somerset would love to have that on board!​

Mark Nicholas: It's been an enticing day of cricket today at Lords; At one point Sri Lanka looked like building a formiddable first innings total, but as soon as they lost Jayawardene for 80, the wickets started tumbling.
