England Tour Of Bangladesh 2010

I think to be fair to the umpire,it looked a good catch in real time and even in slow mo the 2 camera angles weren't conclusive either way, without the review system not much the umpire can go but go off what he saw,and it wasn't really a howler. The lbw to Swann was plumb 3/4 up leg stump with full ball hitting.

Tamim wasnt out. If you were watching you would know.

Tredwell has made a steady debut so far, picking up the vital wicket of Tamim - although perhaps he was luckily to do so, as the extended replays failed to show a definite edge off the bat or deflection off the glove.

... he induced a poorly-executed sweep from Tamim which, in a flurry of bat and gloves, looped up to Prior. Tamim looked disgusted to have been given out and replays suggest he had every right to feel aggrieved. The ball appeared to have missed the gloves and bat and come off the forearm.

Jahurul's was a close call, just brushed the bails. But if Tamim wasnt given out, Jahurul still be padded up

England dropping Carberry for Tredwell is an odd one for me, can understand playing two spinners but then why play three seamers?!?!? Should have left out Finn/Bresnan, played Collingwood as the fifth bowler if needed - and that isn't hindsight, if the pitch demands two spinners then it hardly demands three seamers

Worrying start for England, Bangladesh taking on the bowling and winning - Finn and Bresnan, my "wonderpicks" (wonder why they were!) taking 5-0-45-0. Even Swann had to work hard to claw his figures back, shame is that Bangladesh have fallen by the wayside as usual and England are in charge without perhaps deserving to be. Still if they can post 350-400 then the game might be on, a tail of Prior, Broad, Bresnan, Swann, Tredwell and Finn could be VERY long indeed and the top order has misfiring Trott and KP has only one good score recently

Riyad finally got a bat sponsor. yay

Well I wouldn't include Prior in that tail. Yes, he hasn't been playing top notch cricket but he can most definitely bat. And Broad and Swann have showed that they too can smack the ball around.

Who did he get?

From cricinfo:

I've just heard that David Lloyd has been diagnosed with dengue fever. Ugh, shame man!

:(

Hope Bumble recovers quickly, don't think he'll be commentating in this game.

if these two can bat out the day, and they should be able to (that's never stopped bangladesh collapsing before though) then they will be in a half decent position.

It's just important these two understand how important it is to survive the remaining overs. but 350ish/6 might not be great but it's a platform to build on tomorrow, definitely a 400 plus score there to be had.

Mike Atherton just apologised for Mark Prior's swearing that apparently came through the stump mic. Did anyone catch what Prior said? I'll assume it was a big F-word.
