England 'A' in Bangladesh

Bangladesh A have a deflict of 13 with 9 wickets remaining, so i think a draw is the favourite. We will have to try and bowl them out early.

We might be able to win this, looks like a tight finish though. We're having to go at over 7 an over. Prior is the keyman at the moment.

Loudon took a 5 for in the Bangladesh 2nd innings.

Do you think Loudon didn't have enough chances with the full England side?

----

We won with 2 balls to spare! Prior out for 49 in the end.

Great win :happy

Err no, considering he was pretty poor with the ball for Warwickshire this year I think he didn't really do enough to earn a place. Seems to do alright for England A though.

agreed, he seems to get more people out with his doosra than his normal off-spinner, which tells a lot...quite a good prospect though, if he can improve his batting, can't see him being in the side for his bowling...played well for England A though

Don't get me wrong Sureshot, I do think he's a talent, and if he can gain more control over his bowling so that he keeps it tight when there isn't much help in the pitch, and gets wickets when there is, he could be a very useful player in Odi cricket. If his batting was to improve enough he could even provide a useful option in test cricket, but he does still need a very good year in county cricket or two first.

I doubt Warwicks have got much Cricket in lately with the recent weather ;)

Exactly, how many wickets as he taken for them this year... none :p

Obviously I meant last year ;)

First day of the second 'test' has been washed out. Judging by reports we'll be lucky to get an innings in let alone a whole game!

No, Joes going to be jumping up and down all day long.

Who will impress in this game?

We're bowling first btw, not that I can find any really updated scorecards.

-------

We didn't get to play till after lunch but at 121-8 at the end of the day is a good start I think.

Broad 3-54, Onions 2-38 and Bresnan 2-13 from 10 overs.

Broad with another 3 wickets. Consistency is the sign of quality and he's showing that ;)

Funny how you poms are talking up all your players when theyre playing a team that would struggle to beat a Victorian District cricket team.

what was the point in posting that?

here's the score-http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/cricket/england/6415451.stm

Broad with another :) and England look on top but this will be a draw. Compton was good and Davies and Prior both performed ok with the bat.

BBC said:
Compton missed out on a century when he was bowled attempting a reverse sweep
