England Tour Of Bangladesh 2010

What is the big tweaking deal if the third umpire see's there was an edge and gets on the mic and tells the middle umps to send Bresnan on his way? What are we protecting by prohibiting this? the onfield umpires ego?

I'm with you, yes it should have been given out, but from that image it certainly isn't plumb, a chance it could have been sliding down leg as you pointed out, with it hitting the outside of leg stump.

If it makes MacLovin happy to blame the umpires though, so be it

thats 1, ok. what you got for other 9 crap calls? ok, not 9, how about just the other 3 from this innings? huh? who should be blamed for this then?

i can only guess what would happen had this happened to Eng..

MacLovin added 1 Minutes and 11 Seconds later...

Big deal, they got a harsh deal, it happens to every team via the law of averages. Seriously you're sounding worse then the Indian members were over that tour to Australia and that time they had reason to moan.

It's also the Bangla TV coverage provider's fault for not having the tools in place for the review system. You're the home side, you need to have the infrastructure in place to assist you so this doesn't happen.

It is a big deal. wtf. 4 wrong decisions. and Eng crawled their way back into the game. They didnt play cricket to get back. They dont deserved to be where they're atm. Bdesh worked hard for their chances, what ever was created was not given. I have every right to be upset about it. where do you come from man??

A place where 2 old guys not raising their finger in the air, doesn't mean it is a "big deal" in the grand scheme of things, when it is a game. Also, it is only a match against Bangladesh so am not too fussed. Beginning to use the Sehwag outlook of life against them :D

Meh I feel for the Bangladeshis on this one. If everything had been called correctly they would be dominating right now and how often can we say that about them? They've been robbed.

Now I can see why all the Indian members really hates you. That post shows how big of an arrogant pos that you are

Exactly. ICC won't let it happen, it has to be egos or some such nonsense. Umpires are human, they will get criticised and quite possibly death threats for bias.

Do you know why they aren't using referrals? Something in the back of my mind says the two sides have to agree it, but I wonder if those two gaffes recently haven't seen it end as a trial/entitity - mic not switched on, the other I think the decision was wrong even after review.

You can bet your bottom vcash that Bangladeshis wouldn't be bitchin' if the decisions had gone for them and they won as a result. Que sera sera would probably be the song

Dada, chill.

My, what a happy bunch you all are on here.

Well, at least those that can view cricket as cricket are. Those that are watching through 'football eyes' are obviously struggling to cope.

The only post worth reading is angryang. If most of these decisions had been referred, they wouldn't have gone to the fielding side anyway.

There's enough doubt. If you read the rules of cricket, batsman gets the benefit of it.

Can't see what all the fuss is about for a fielding side anyway. You have another 5 balls in the over to try and get the batsman out. Batsmen only need 1 ball and innings is over.

The standard of umpiring is not brilliant, but it works.

It's funny how Bangladesh could well lose this test. For umpiring decisions? No, for poor fielding, poor captaincy and poor attitude. Siddons is only adding fuel to the fire. England used to go to Pakistan in the 80's believing that the umpires were cheats, and when we thought they were, we used that as an excuse for losing. Truth was, we played crap.

Get on with the game, Bangles, you'd done really well to get this close

I think some of these comments from England fans would be a little less sanguine if the situation was different. Say, the last test of the Ashes, it's 1-1 in the series. This is how important winning anything is to Bangladesh.

Bangladesh would really love to win a test against England. This is probably their best chance so any decision that goes against them is a big blow for them.

Also do we still think it would be another 50 overs for Shakib to get his 5 -fer?
