England tour of India (5 Tests)

Not even the best bit of cricket today so far.
Oh yeah, I woke up to use the toilet and was fortunate enough to listen to the last 20 minutes of ABC commentary on the Australia-West Indies Test. Jim Maxwell, Glenn McGrath and Carl Hooper were spectacular

Also I might have to just submit a formal apology to anyone I ever doubted who has had a hand in this Test match, in particular Pope, Hartley, Stokes or Key.

@Bigby Wolf may have been on the money with Jadeja’s defensive play costing the team a lot of useful runs in the first innings. Weird since he usually bats more aggressively the further he stays at the crease in tests. His bowling has also been below his standard in this game.

He also just pinged a hamstring while being run out

This should be Shreyas’ moment ideally, he is the spin specialist and he’s got enough experience by now and is up against a side whose spin attack isn’t the best with their main spinner injured on a surface that isn’t a complete dustbowl.

Which means he’ll get out shortly, right?

Yeah, so damn predictable.

Not sure if that’s him doing the Rizwan or if it’s genuine.

The worst thing is that a loss here would freak the BCCI “officials” out and they’ll start preparing absolute minefields for the next two games which will make our brittle batting look even worse.

This England team, they keep proving everyone wrong (regardless of the result today). Even though I'm high on Bazball and fully invested to the point I wouldn't drop Crawley anymore, I thought we'd be lucky to make India bat a second time after they'd got 190 run lead.

It’s safe to say that we became quite complacent and expected England to just gradually give up after that first innings.

Worrying that this has become a trend under Rohit.

I more disappointed today with the approach of Jaiswal.

Bloke is attacking player just went into his shell today.

Others well the least I say the better it is.

Oh yeah I completely agree. I thought for sure that they'd finally sniffed too many of their own farts. I thought this was going to be a series of suffering.

Instead, this could be Stokes' best victory as England captain if Root and Hartley see the team over the line.

Noticed this with Australia in the Ashes… opponents are just leaning into becoming hyper defensive after a point to counter Bazball.

Genuinely very interesting that the host broadcaster is putting this stat out

Would be surprised if this wasn’t already guessed by most fans.
