England tour of South Africa 09/10

Right, this is the problem I have with the URDS. We have New Zealand or are offering Snicko, hotspot and everything, but here in SA we have got all of this, just hawkeye. I'm all for the Review System as it seems fair but there has to be an international standard of what technology gets used where. Either the ICC chip in with the costs for certain countries so that everyone has the same technology, but when we have two differences from different countires the standards waiver.

Snicko was not used for the UDRS in NZ, it was there just for the TV viewers. I think it is one of the best bits of technology and it should be used, but it isn't. I do agree that all countries should use the same technology, and I think snicko should also be used.

oh okay, Well they still have hot spot and possibly the ultra slow mo? Which is more then the SA/Channel are offering. I'm not saying the decision England reffered was out, but there needs to be a standard of tech. used.

Umpires should just be robots with all technologies at their disposal.

Call it iUmpire :)

Sounds more like an iPod application :p

Yeah we did have hotspot ant ultra slo-mo over here. Im suprised that they aren't being used in SA, if the UDRS is gonna work, the more technology the better I reckon

Apparently it's because the host broadcaster can't afford that sort of technology.

Last 10 overs have been depressingly boring, with all the short balls. He's not going to play the pull. Try something else.

Yeah, we should just bowl full tosses or something, let him smash a few sixes, make him feel better. Do you even understand the game? :sarcasm

So Broad's strategy to Duminy is to bowl short and surprise him with the odd half-volley? I know he can offer a chance off a bouncer, but give the guy some credit.

Show me where I said to bowl full tosses. Don't make assumptions, especially when you have no idea how the game of Cricket works.

Bowling it short is okay, but it's getting predictable. The short ball is supposed to work as an element of surprise dipshit. A over full of short balls is not going to get the wicket. Make him come on the front foot, then bowl it short to surprise him.
