England, from statistics show a strong ODI team with batting averages throughout the top 6 in the high 20's, low 30's with a strong and proven opening partnership, especially in test between M.Trescothic (average 38.29) and A.Strauss (38.20). Furthermore England have strong tail with G.Jones averaging in the 30s and A.Flintoff know for his huge towering sixes.

10th September 2004 (50-over match) Update after 25 overs:
England after losing an early wicket look to carry on with some positive cricket. M.Trescothic is looking in fine form smashing 3 sixes already of some pretty poor bowling from the young zimbabwe side.
-The ball is clipped for 4 from Trescothic.
-Weather conditions look bad but Trescothic continues hitting a cover drive.
However at the other end M.Vaughan look out of touch scoring very slowly and playing and missing several times. However the introduction of the spinner meant that Vaughan could pick up singles, roate the strike and get some runs on the board. Thsi worked for a while untill runs dried up and he went for the booming cover drive in which all he found was a thick outside edge.
-Panayagara dives to his right to take a edge form M.Vaughan.
At 95-2 England were still in a good position despite the lose of wickets but a wonderfall half century from Trescothic meant runs kept coming.
-M.Trescothic acknowledges the crowd after hitting 50.
However shortly after wards he nearly goes after some poor judgement and slacked running.

10th September 2004 (50-over match) Update End of Innings:
M.Trescothic who was in fine form was out to a ball which cut back miles and unluckly enough took place straight after accomplishing his ton.
-What a ball Trescothic.
Although the zimabwe bowling wasn't perfect there were some good points especially from Elton Chigumbura who bowled extremely well bowling 3 maidens.
-Hawkeye shows a good line and lenght to right handers from Chigumbura.
Another highlight was Panayagara who took 4 english wickets and was also not very exspensive.
-Chigumbura picks up the wicket of Solanki after finding the edge to the keeper.
However Englands score good have been alot different if the umpire had of got a LBW decision correct when he gave A.Flintoff notout when hawkeye showed flintoff out on his very first ball. However the Zimbabwe bolwers had some more LBW shouts most of them correctly notout.
-Hawkeye shows that this time the ball was going to mis the stumps. So with 252 to win have Zimbabwe got the talent to win or will it be a walk over for England find out soon.
