Panesar Warned by Ponting​

Australian captain Ricky Ponting assured Monty Panesar of a testing time if he makes his Ashes debut.
"There will be some pressure on him", Ponting said. "With Giles having played in the previous Ashes series as their frontline spinner and now they have decided that Monty will be their front line spinner , they probably are hoping that Monty can come in and have success straight away. There's no doubt he will be putting a bit of extra pressure on himself to do the job required for his team."
" They will have some field placings to make sure we don't get at him too much early, but we have got a lot of left handers in our batting order and they will enjoy the ball spinning into them"
