Punter looking nervy and will go soon after lunch :)

Australia lost couple of qickets after lunch

Matthew Hayden resumed his innings of 47 after lunch and when he was on 49 runs he played a straight drive which went past diving A.Cook at mid-off and the ball raised away to the boundary . Hayden reached his half century in style with a four. Hayden reached his 50 in 102 balls with 9 Fours . His innings was slower than usual but he was very watchful and was lucky to survive the caught behind decision on the very first ball he faced. That decision is already proving costly for England now as Hayden is looking in good touch .

England needed the imporatant wicket of Ricky Ponting and it was Andrew Flintoff who provided the breakthrough . Ricky Ponting was looking dangerous as he already smashed Flintoff to 3 boundaries before lunch but this time it was Andrew Flintoff who all of a sudden started bowling a good line and length after lunch . Flintoff was troubling Ponting with short balls and was always keeping him on the backfoot . He bowled one just short of the length and Ponting went on the backfoot again trying to defend it but the ball went under the ball and it just managed to clip the offstump on its way . That was a sad way to get out when the ball just clips the stumps but he has to walk back to the pavillion. Ponting scored 29 runs and was looking in good touch but England got the wicket at the right time .

The next batsman for Australia was D.Martyn . Martyn is in good form in test matches with a terrific average of 46.37 and has scored over 4000 runs with 13 centuries and is an handy middle order batsman. Australia need him to stay at the wicket and score runs and build a solid partnership with Hayden who is batting well at the other end.
Martyn takes gaurd

Hayden and Martyn were scoring at a good rate and seemed like Australia are now getting used to the conditions. Martyn started well by hitting couple of boundaries and Hayden was batting nicely as well tackling the spin of Monty nicely . Monty was bowling a good line and length and it was difficult to get him away for runs. But Australia were batting nicely and were scoring boundaries ar regular intervals . Hayden was batting nicely and was well settled now and was looking to get a big score. Martyn is giving a good support from the other end as well.

Just when thing were looking good for Australia another wicket fell and this time it was Martyn was run out by Monty Panesar. Hayden just worked the ball on the legside and Martyn called for a quick single but Monty was quick to pick up the ball and throw it right on top of the stumps and G.Jones took the bails in a flash . The 3rd umpire was called for and in the replay it was seen that Martyn's bat was on the line and accoring to the rule the bat should be inside the crease if its on the line then the batsman is out . The 3rd umpire decision came quickly and Martyn was declared out and it was a big wicket for England as they got 2 quick wickets and Monty did a superb job in the field .

But it was not yet over for Australia as Hussey takes gaurd. Hussey has the most impressive record in Test matches as he has a terrific average around 80 and has already scored over 1000 runs in 11 matches . Hussey is the key player for Australia and he is the one who will cause headaches for England.

What a run out by Monty! England getting back in this now let's hope for some quick wickets next session as well!

Hayden is still there to rescue Aussies! Hussey and Haydos will have to play a crucial role now.. Aussies are still comfortable!
