India Sneak With A Win In The End.

India finally sneaked in with a win at the end as Kaif and Dhoni scored a 103 run partnership for the 6th wicket off just 101 balls and got to the total easily in the end. This was a good match by all standards as it was tough one and as said earlier the pitch was batting friendly . Last time here Bangladesh almost chased West Indies total of 260 odd runs and today it was a similar situation as India successfully chased the big total of 274 posted by England with 9 balls to spare and M.kaif played a match winning innings by remaining not out till the end and scoring a half century just what the doctor ordered for India at that stage.

Mohd.Kaif played a sensational innings and another match winning innings here as he got the win for the team and also the start which India wanted in this Champions Trophy. MS Dhoni gave a good support to Kaif and he gave most of the strike to Kaif who was striking the ball well after he was dropped by Monty on 4 . Kaif played his shots well and Harmison proved expensive in the end and he never managed to trouble any batsmen.Kaif brought up his half century in just 47 balls with 5 fours and 1 six.

G.Boycott : Superb knock from Mohd.Kaif as India are now getting closer to victory and are now in a real comfortable position and i cannot see any problems for India now .

In the end as India were winning the match Dhoni showed his fireworks by hitting a huge six off the bowling of Monty Panesar . Certainly it was not Panesar's dat today . Kaif and Dhoni scored a century partnership for the 6th wicket off just 101 balls as it turned out to be a match winning partnership for the Indians

In the end Dhoni was caught in the deep for 43 runs off the bowling of Harmison as he was trying to for the six for the winning runs but he failed to do so and gave away a consolation wicket to Harmison.England performed well with the bat as well as with the ball in this macth but in the end it was India who sneak in with a win in this Champions trophy group stage opener.
