England's tour of India - 2021

I think the overconfidence of Aussie win is on display here - England were not going to be pushed over especially after doing so well in Sri Lanka in similar conditions. They look really well prepared for this tour and have done well in all 3 aspects - their fielding especially has been top notch

Will take a mammoth effort from us to even draw this game now - the wicket is going to break from the looks of it
Looked complacent as well.

240 - the lead for England , If they bat aggresively for a Session & a half can score around 150 - 180 runs setting more than 400 runs to chase which can be defended on this wearing track.

Their timing of declaration will be key surely they will make India bat before end of Today's Play giving a go at the openers for 10-12 Overs Atleast.

Is it just me or does anyone else also feel that Kohli has become a bit timid with the bat for a year or so?
Yeah, like Bevab said, he has become very risk averse, playing percentage cricket all the time now. Maybe it's partially due to the retirement of someone like dhoni, he has now also taken the role of the finisher, and does not want to get out. I want him to just go after the ball from ball one once, will be fun to see. For that reason, I enjoyed his 40 odd in the second T20 more than the 80 odd in the third T20 in the recent series against australia

Oh boy .. its turning and spitting and then keeping low

England's game to lose here now.

In all honesty, Nadeem has been a big disappointment in this match. Some of his deliveries are too short & wide on top of it they are slow as well. While some have been overpitched. Not the way one should bowl after getting 400 wickets in First Class Cricket. He has clearly lacked confidence and that bite in his bowling which he usually has. This is one bowler who I have seen running through the batting orders in Ranji trophy in the past.

England have played this well in my opinion. They need something for their bowlers to bowl at because even though it is getting very tricky to bat on India have seen that they aren't afraid to go after the spinners and England spinners are not India's spinners! Pile on another quick 80 or so and get at them.

A new format is introduced in cricket

This isn't a test match

I forgot how far ahead we were. I woke up and saw 79/4 and thought bloody hell we’re gonna toss this away, then looked closer and saw we're 320+ ahead and though oh ok not so bad

Quick fire 40 runs or so from Buttler and Pope hopefully then put India in so effectively 3 and a half sessions to bowl them out. The pitch is doing all sorts now too so it won't be easy to bat out the time and even more difficult to chase 400.

Why isn't England declaring? More than England, this is proving to benefit India.
