England's tour of India (Nov '16/Feb '17)

I feel for Shami and Yadav here. They`ve been the most threatening of the lot so far and have had 5 chances put down of their bowling on what is a really good batting wicket. What has happened to our catching!

We are staring down the barrel in this test now and also the series if we go down 1-0. England have been our bogie team and continue to remain so.

I wonder India has not even started batting and guys are talking about Follow On. Everyday is not sunday. England is there to play cricket as well. I think the fans should trust their batsmen

It will be a tough task for openers. 150+ over fielding. Then batting. Physical tiredness, mental pressure.

Haven't been following the Test at all both because of timezones and a shit show of an election here, can someone catch me up on why we've bowled this poorly? From the few posts I've read seems to be a combination of dropped catches and a batsmen friendly pitch?

Pretty much spot on. Also aided a little by defensive field placements.

The bowling has been good, specially from the two quicks. India have picked the wrong team for this surface. Mishra is useless. His reaction on getting the last stick was as if he had picked a 5fer!

Finally a session to India (2-4). Both batsman have looked good and it's an encouraging sign for tomorrow. But a lot of work needs to be done. Even if India score additional 300 runs tomorrow, there will be a lot of deficit to cover up.

Another good day for England but I still think some fans are being too negative already. 500 was an expected score after what England ended up on day 1 because all their players can contribute with the bat. However, I have to say this again it hurts to see how bad we have been in fielding. Saha's first catch was difficult but second one was a regulation catch. You have to feel sorry for Shami and Yadav as they bowled their hearts out but didn't get any response from the fielders. We were still able to get them all out which was good to see considering how good the pitch has been in the first 2 days.

We have started decently but need to bat all day today without losing too many wickets. All of our batsmen need to contribute to make sure it's going for a draw rather than gifting their wickets to England's spinners.

Already covering for GG`s failures, are you?
The result is on the scoreboard . You better watch it 10 times till tomorrow. Indian openers didn't lost their wicket in 23over, scored 63 runs, which was a great achievement.( considering legend Bhumi Pujan specialist Sikhar Dhawan's great batting skill ).

Only a cricketer (opener) can understand the feeling of fielding 160 over and then bat 23 over against reverse swing, turns.
So I suggest you to either watch pogo or kindly think twice before making of fun of others and especially on cricket topic.
