Am I the only one who isn't actually bothered by football today because of a certain other event tonight?

Matt, me and you have a word that could describe Rafa Benitiez, it begins with J!

Also let's picture the scene, Man United losing 3-1 in a game they should win, would Fergie take off Ronaldo? Would Ancelotti take off Kaka?

Yep:p

Football > Any other sport at any time

Routine win by United today, we didn't play brilliantly, and didn't need to. Congratulations to Giggsy, 100th league goal, he's been a great servant for us. His was a tap in after a Ronaldo shot, then Tevez scored from about 8 yards out after a scrappy piece of play, the 3rd goal was the best, Tevez just teasing with the defender and slotting it into the bottom corner. I need to see the penalty incident again, even if it wasn't a penalty though, these things come and go around, he should have had one on Monday.

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha! at the Scousers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:p:p:p:p:p:p Cracking result at the Madjeski. Why on Earth did Benitez take Gerrard off? You have to question his logic sometimes, although, I'm not complaining.:D

You get some jokers on 606, the other day someone was saying Wenger hasn't done well enough this season. Today, someone has said that Benitez was at fault for going 3-0 down in the CL final and the players had to fight back themselves, without the help of Benitez. Do these people actually watch football?

Norwich 1-0 Sheffield Utd :D

A month ago we wouldn't have had a chance in a fixture like this. Roeder has got something going and we are now out of the relegation zone for the first time in ages!

Ched Evans has scored two in two for us now, he looks like a natural goalscorer. When he gets older and wiser Man City might struggle to keep him.

Obviously he was saving Gerrard for Tuesday. That game is a million times more important.
Nope, and thats where your lack of English football knowledge means I can't take you seriously. Liverpool have been in the final twice in the last 3 years, the fans and Benitez have said that there main priority this season is the league. He probably was saving him for Tuesday, but the fact is that he shouldn't have been. The scousers want the league, not that they'll get it mind, and so to take Gerrard off when your 2-1 down in a game you should be winning is madness. They're the games you gotta win to become champions.

Yes but beating Marseille means money and keeping Mascherano...

You are not getting the point. If I remember correctly (as I had just switched the game on then), Liverpool were already 3-1 down when Gerrard was brought off, with about 25 minutes left in the game. I am not saying winning the league isnt a priority for Benitez and Liverpool, but the fact that even if they lost against Reading, they still have around 23 games left in the season to stage a fightback. Obviously with the other teams winning, it would make it that much more harder, but they still have a chance. But the Tuesday game is their last and only chance of surivival in Europe.

Although winning your domestic league requires more, the Champions League is the biggest prize of them all. The only reason why Carlo Ancelloti is still the AC Milan manager, is because his team, despite being poor in the league, has been extremely consistent in Europe, winning twice under him.

Have you noticed how dirty Jamie Carragher has been playing lately?

He used to be a really skilled and passionate defender, but in the last few weeks he has been deliberately pulling people down in the box, handling the ball, all sorts. I dont know whats happened to him.

LOL at Liverpool and Arsenal, for the 2nd time in a week Arsenal have been outplayed apparently, shows how big Fabregas is, United cranking up the pressure :D :D
