Have you noticed how dirty Jamie Carragher has been playing lately?

He used to be a really skilled and passionate defender, but in the last few weeks he has been deliberately pulling people down in the box, handling the ball, all sorts. I dont know whats happened to him.

He's been carrying the defence a bit which could explain, Hyypia isn't what he used to be and Hobbs it very inexperienced.

When's Agger back!?

This loss for Arsenal (hopefully) means that our title hopes are still there :), need to beat the mancs, we're due a win against them.

You got stuffed by Reading and you reckon you'll beat us? We'll see....

Arsenal a bit nervous now? We're only one point behind now and you haven't got your 'game in hand' cushion anymore!!

You are not getting the point.
And you're not getting mine either. 3-1 down with 25 mins to go is nowhere near impossible and believe me, I can't stand Scousers, but I'm pretty sure they think the league is a bigger prize than the CL this season. Their fans have seen United win the league 9 times (had to get that in:p), so they know what they need to do and know they can't afford to lose away at Reading. I'm pretty sure Gerrard could have played the 25 minutes extra yesterday while also playing the 90 minutes on Wednesday.

Oh, Arsenal, I predicted this would happen:D, Boro could have had a few more today to be honest. Just one point behind then, and we're beating teams comfortably without getting out of 2nd gear. As soon as Arsenal don't have Fabregas, they struggle. And ciddy lost too:D:D

Well the game was a bit of a freak result in all honesty, I mean we won there 4-2 earlier in the season with a lot of young players...we'll have to see.

Ronny played the 2nd half at Bolton and we still played crap, the Ciddy game was a complete fluke, they had one shot, we controlled the game, if we missed anyone that game it was probably Rooney.

I no longer think Arsenal will struggle without Cesc. Infact out of the so called big four, I think they are the least reliant on a single player. More team players and credit must go to Mr.Wenger for that.

But with Arsenal losing, both United and Chelsea now have a good chance. I am not sure if we'll be able to keep up this momentum, especially since we will be without Essien and Drogba for a while.

I am still tipping Liverpool for the title though.

Interesting how Man Utd fans see it as a "Freak" incident when they lose a match, but when Arsenal and Liverpool lose their first matches of the season its all over for them. I agree with Sid, Arsenal do have a team that's least reliant on star players. It's not even Christmas yet, still plenty of times for any side to lose a few more times (freakishly or not). January transfer window is coming up, I dont think Liverpool are going to be splashing the cash, probably more youngsters for the future, if Arsenal buy it'll be similar. Chelsea will probably splash the cash (Although today rumors of them getting Ronaldinho have been stomped on). I'd guess Man Utd have some cash if they feel the need.

Benitez needs to start filling the squad out with more world class players. He seems to buy 1 world class player a season and then flood the squad with mediocrity. I mean look who he brought in this season:

Torres- World class player
Benayoun- Good, but not anywhere near world class
Lucas- Meh, hes alright
Voronin- Average, nothing special, not a massive fan
Babel- Has potential, but cant see him becoming world class
Arbeloa- Again, pretty average

Then you look at a few of the other squad players, Pennant, Kuyt, Kewell, Agger, Sissoko, Finnan, Crouch, Insua, Leto. They have some top players, Gerrard, Alonso, Torres, Mascherano, Carragher, Reina, but they need some more top quality back-up players. I cant see Liverpool winning the league if they keep flooding their squad with average players. If you look at United for example, their back-ups are pretty quality. Nani, Anderson, Carrick, Saha, Park and Foster, just to name a few. I think if Liverpool have any serious chance of winning the league, Benitez needs to start bringing more quality players in.

Liverpool - 6 draws after 15 games, thats nowhere near title-winning form. I don't think we do really need to do anything in the transfer window, apart from maybe if Brown goes, talking of that, he should have some loyalty. Kev, I wasn't saying that losing at Bolton was a fluke, they probably deserved it and we were crap. The Ciddy game was a huge fluke, both managers agreed they were lucky. Reading deserved to win on Saturday, just as Boro did yesterday.

Where did anyone say its all over for Arsenal or Liverpool? You can't go and have a rant about something that never happened! If people have got doubts over Arsenals then chances are it won't be because when they dropped points they just dropped points but the fact that in the 5 games without Fabregas they've lost twice and drawn once. They left it late at Wigan, were outplayed although they got dodgy decisions at Sevilla, were good enough at Villa, outplayed against Newcastle and apparently outplayed at boro, you can't exactly say there going well without him although Van Persies absence also plays a big part, but the point is United have had an injury crisis and come through it, they had one last year and won the league too so Arsenal need to show they can deal with it too, and without Fabregas they haven't. Obviously all will be forgotten if they beat Chelsea.
