Well we drew 0-0 to Bournemouth at home, we've got quite a few injury problems and we are desperate for a new striker.

Dong>>Drogba. If we can keep ourselves in the title race until Rooney gets back we'll be fine. His return can be like Cantonas was for us, not quite in the same league yet though.

well forgot to post here but Arsenals win against fulham was the same old story again...creating loads of chances but not finishing em...why do all the goalkeepers come in form against arsenal...

and United :p the difference this time for Arsenal was they got the points in the end, unlike last year. As a united fan i'm no longer depressed, i realise Rooneys a loss and i won't be seeing him when i go to watch England now but when you look at the fact we've got Tevez,Anderson and hargreaves it really eases the pain

I was looking forwards to seeing him live in September. Damn it! :(

Get fit soon, Wayne!

And now we have to rush Tevez and we dont have Alan Smith or Saha - great start to the season!:(

I think fergie was too keen to sell rossi and smith. I think he should of waited till near the end of the transfer window to offload them, however i still think losing rossi is gonna come back and bite us in the jacksee as he looks like an outstanding talent.

Damn. Why can't we play Manure earlier while the RSPCA treat Wayne Rooney? :(

Tevez....yes. I think he'll do better alone than playing with Rooney.

Anderson.....well he has to prove himself.

Hargreaves.....will definately solve this problem because 1- he is not a striker, 2- he is overrated, overhyped, over-everything.

Anderson-he's brazillian, the only Brazillian at united he's got to compare himself too is Kleberson :p

Hargreaves- look how Bayern did without him, ok some bloke called Ballack might have had an effect but even so they were much better ff in the champions league when he came back and England look a far better side with him in. Him not being a strikers not hte point, he will allow Scholes to play more attackingly

And he'll allow Carrick a more free role going forward, which will create more chances. Look on the bright side, it means we haven't got a difficult selection problem to make:p.

People wanting more strikers, calm down, Rooney will be back before you know it, Saha and Solskjaer are back in training and Anderson can play up front. Buying another striker now would simply be panic buying. Rossi never looked good enough for the Premiership in the games he played for United and Newcastle.

Lets not completely get on Fergie's back after Sunday, yeah his selection wasn't great but losing Rooney after the first half really hindered us. Having said that, he should have put either Tevez or Anderson on the bench.

It was never a penalty in a million years when Rooney got injured, that happens so many times and players don't get injured. As much as I don't like Dubbery for playing for the Leeds scum, he was going to get the ball.

lets not get completely on fergies back? He played John O'Shea as a striker!!! We all know that only works when we're playing scousers

what do man u fans think of john o'shea?

i think he's one of the best defenders there and as a bonus, he can play in midfield too! :p

Spurs relegated. Confirmed.

:P

Been all over us but we still lead by 2 goals. Hibbert and Anichebe have been utter crap but thanks to some set piece brilliance we lead from 2 goals. Alan Stubbs ftfw :D. Everton top of the league at half time. Champions confirmed.

Berbatov's looked crap again, looks really out of sorts this season. Looked jaded and lazy against Sunderland, looked the same in the warm up and did nothing in the first half of this game. Berbatov=one season wonder :P
