On a bad note Alonso was shocking.

My Mum won't be happy, he's in her dream team.:p

Really good day of football to be honest. City were on the back foot for most of the game, holding on to the lead for dear life and scoring against the run of play. United hit the bar and Tevez missed a sitter, it just wasn't their day but they need to have their day soon or they will be out of the title race already.

Diabolical decision by the ref, if anything it was a Liverpool free kick as imo Malouda fouled Finnan. He jumped into him.

But like the ICC the FA back their referees through shocking decisions rather than punishing them (unless they do what D'Urso did and fail to send a player off).

It's a shame for Liverpool because they were by far and away the better side.

Lehmann is close to being shot.

Haha, what a despicable decision by the ref but I can't stop smiling. Perfect result Pool and Chelskov drawing.

United will win the league. Chelsea shown today and at Reading that big atmospheres away from home scare them. Liverpool will always have a dodgy away record and Utd are just getting their bad form out of the way early on. If United don't finish 2nd at the very least then i'm Dutch.

You are Dutch then.

Well not really given the fact the league hasn't finished and unless you can see into the future then he's not Dutch. yet

No one calls me dutch and lives!! I ought to feed you to my goats outside my windmill....

But seriously, suggestions that United are already out of the title race because of a bad start are ludicrous. This is United for God's sake. The best team in England bar none.

Except Everton.

Just seen the pen :noway

God help which lower league team gets him next week...

I also think he did book Essien twice, then went back on it because he realised his mistake. He lifted the card twice ffs.

Didn't he book Ben Haim twice? I was watching it with Fanzone commentary on and they were busy slagging off Benitez's goatee.

True, the last time we started this badly, we went on to win the League. The annoying thing is we should've won all three of those games, we had the chances! God, how did Tevez miss from there? We need another striker, we're one short imo and as I said all summer, we need strengthening in defence!

I hope Mark Hughes and his team contract gonorrhea and I hope Alan Hansen gets it too.

Blackburn have always been the dirtiest team in the league. They foul us and then accuse us of making the worst challenges!

Then, Mark Hughes claims he's disappointed in a draw as they 'played the better football!'

They didn't come into the game until the 20 somethingth minute and defended for their lives for the last 20. What game was he watching!

As for the Savage penalty claim...

That was worse than Pires' and he got loads of stick for the rest of the season. Savage does it and the pundits consider that it might have been a penalty!

Mark Hughes is a quality manager but he does talk some absolute *bleep* at times, even Fergies told him to cut it out.

I don't think Arsenal can really berate Blackburn for playing dirty, given how Arsenal were at the start of Wengers reign.

That is correct. Also it was dirty football that won Brazil the Copa America this year. Sometimes you just have to use it to negate the difference in class.

We didn't play dirty, we just had a problem with our temper and at least we got sent off for it.

It's as if Arsenal are the main team to target. If these tactics work against us, why not everyone else?
