He dived. There was no contact, and fell on his own accord: a dive.
It was pretty frustrating that the game at the Bridge was shown live on TV! Of all games! Anyway, hope this big win with the performance even if its just against a Championship side(no disrespect to Ipswich) will be a platform for us to turn our fortunes around.
The only downside, we have Everton away in the next round.
Yeah berba is a flinging piece of ████ . Great show by our boys . Proud of Kenny and Pool .
Obviously disappointed of the fact the referee did not help our cause in taking the game to Anfield where we would have lambasted them out of the cup . Take a bow Webb , for a wonderful game of refereeing , Hail UNITED's 12th man
It was clear there was no contact, it's not selective viewing, there is obviously no contact. At the end of the day it wasn't a penalty, it shouldn't have been given and therefore Man United shouldn't have won.
There is barely any comparison from that decision to the penalty given. The other challenge was fifty-fifty. The fact is they didn't score bar the penalty given, hence it would have gone to a replay. I'm not debating who deserved to win.
Penalty or no, there was a challenge on Giggs in the second half that had a better case of being given as a penalty than the Berbatov one and it wasn't given. Therefore, it evened out over the match - therefore, Man Utd should've and did win. Deservedly so - it was only 'Pool's keeper that kept them in it during the second half! And I'd debate whether or not there was contact - the defender clearly sticks his leg out and any striker in this day and age will fall over it - whether they could avoid it or not.
