Don't really rate Given that highly. Great shot-stopper but seems to neglect the rest of his goalkeeping duties and is far too often anchored to his goal-line.

It's 4 goals in 4 PL games now for Sturridge. Good for him and Bolton but for Ancelotti and us... :facepalm

Sure wish 2moro would be th last ever Carling Cup although i know it wont happen. The tournament is really useless, you get rid of it & it would be easier to implement a winter break.

What a great Sunday it has been. Liverpool lost to West Ham, Fulham drew against Man City and then Arsenal...

A catastrophic and laughable defending gave Birmingham the win. Really, Koscielny should have just left it to Szczesny to gather the ball. Anyway, it's still six long years without a trophy for the Gooners. :lol

What a game. Fantastic entertainment. I think overall Birmingham deserved to win. Szczesny should've been sent off, should've had pen, Bowyer was well onside. For periods of the game they were much better than Arsenal. Carr and Foster were outstanding. Stephen Carr is 34 years old, and already retired once, just an amazing performance. Shame about the manner of the goal, but that's football.

It's really amazing that he still has quite some pace given his age. And I really have to say that Zigic is extremely huge. :p

By the way, congrats to Birmingham on their victory. :clap

With Birmingham winning this Carling Cup & me thinking Everton to make it till the FA Cup finals , Liverpool's only chance to play in Europe next season is to win the Europa League itself . 5th place dreams are all but shattered with Tottenham/Chelsea poised for that spot .

Aah , there's the Intertoto Cup right ?? :p

Another great advert for the premiership. Even though we have Tottenham & City challenging the status quo top 4 of recent years this season. Its good to see a little team like Birmingham city still win something. But the Carling cup still has to be scrapped.

Martins is also a bit of a forgotten man, still one of best striker out of Africa.

Well done Birmingham and congratulations on your win!

Now - as you all know, I am a diehard Man Utd fan and will defend the club and players to the hilt - but I have just seen the Rooney incident again and it looked even worse than the first time. It was a blatant off the ball elbow - I don't know what the hell he was thinking of, but it was indefensible and for Sir Alex to say there was nothing in it is just a little bit ridiculous. If Rooney doesn't get at least a few games' ban for that, he's a very very lucky boy and really needs to take a look at himself.

Bloody nutter!
Under British law Cole could be charged with actual bodily harm, which carries a maximum penalty of five years' imprisonment and an unlimited fine.

He deserves it, just for being so bloody stupid!

What do you mean? :p It was absolutely hilarious watching both the Arsenal defender and keeper playing 'after you, Claude' - and to see a striker pick up the pieces. :D :p That might damage Arsenal's confidence for the rest of the season.

Arsenal may very well be just playing for a trophy come Mid-March after all the talks of achieving the quadruple.
