I apologise.

Not an excuse but rooney just makes my blood boil, typical top level pro footballer- dont realise how lucky they are.

And i cant forgive him and the england team for last years world cup. Absolute disgrace.

No problem - I'm sure if I wasn't a Utd fan, I'd feel more animosity towards him for the abject performance at the World Cup. We're united in how we feel about these overpaid prima donnas though - some of them just don't seem to know how good they have it! I feel the same about actors/singers who are either going around moaning about their private lives all the time and/or drinking their careers away, while myself and many like me are trying to climb the greasy pole! And there's still a small part of me that's a bit peeved at Rooney for holding the club to ransom for his new deal - but that's how it is these days.

A prime example: Balotelli. He's getting paid a stupid amount of money, he's doing something that he loves as his job - hell, he's playing for his job - do you ever see the guy with a smile on his face??

Speaking of the World Cup, Fabio seems to be considering players at random now - he's considering a striker who plays in the SPL now.

OK then, no more complaining about decisions against Chelsea - but if they get a stinker at Old Trafford, then the Chelsea fans don't complain about that either - deal? :p

Thing is in a way you cant blame them for the money they get who wouldnt want more more for their job?

But for rooney to come out and say that basically utd were not good enough for him during a time where he was playing the worst ive ever seen him play is a joke, then utd offer him a new deal with more money he all of a sudden realises he's made a "mistake".

That sort of thing doesn't sit well with me.

Dont even like thinking about the england team anymore, its took me 29 years to get the point now where i accept we are just not good enough and should just try and enjoy any tournament we get into as their is no chance of us coming close to winning anything for a very long time.

Knew that is going to come. No, I don't think we will but we'll be saying United always get the decisions going for them at Old Trafford. :p

Just read the FA Cup matches' report. It seemed that Gerard Houllier made it easy for Man City to win with his team selection but what I'm really shocked is his comments after the game.

Gerard Houllier said:
''I understand where they are coming from but I don't think we could have beaten Manchester City today.''

He added: "We have to acknowledge that we were beaten by a team that is better than ours at the moment.

Didn't his team won against City in January? Even though that was at Villa Park but still, Villa are more than capable of beating City with the players they have. If the likes of Everton can do it, why can't Villa?

Anyway, at least there is a big match to look forward to at Old Trafford next weekend.

Five reasons Manchester United will still win the league title - The Independent

The title doesn't even reflect what is written in the article one bit. Some of the points are really laughable especially the fifth one! And clearly for the fourth point, Mark Fleming basically only judge it based on the goals scored, not how the game went.

I'm not trying to stoke up anymore arguments here by the way. :)

So how exactly do you define a penalty ?? Chelsea happen to get it from nowhere midweek against United while Bramble gives the wildest of pushes to poor Arshavin and gets away from a definite Red Card & a penalty ?? And was that Arshavin goal offside ?? Nonsense !

Now, all onus on Liverpool to beat United tomorrow which i am truly not confident off . Settling for a score draw despite the fact i have staked 20 bucks on a Liverpool victory against one of my foes here in my uni .

Saw that.

Arshavin had a poor day there, he certainly deserved a lot more. Bramble just pulled his trouser off, lucky I did not come down. Arshavin had to guard his trouser and due to this he could not shoot properly.

Also that offside was slightly onside. Horror refereeing at the game.

I think if Arshavin have gone down immediately when Bramble pushed him, Arsenal would have gotten the penalty. For the offside call, it was pretty marginal. Arsenal should have gotten the benefit of the doubt from the linesman there.

And oh, the referee for the Arsenal is apparently from Manchester.

I guess all the King Kenny excitement had died eh? :p

Here's another interview. This time, it's with Jamie Carragher. A great one too.

Jamie Carragher exclusive: What the Liverpool defender really thinks of Fergie, Neville and United | Mail Online

I have to say I'm pleasantly surprised by the respect and insightfulness shown by Carragher in that interview. Really good interview.

Arsenal extremely unlucky not to have a penalty for sure, when Bramble nudged & pushed Arshavin around the 80th minute. What was the assistant doing.

I'm not completely surprised Arsenal dropped points today - pleased, of course - now if we can beat Liverpool tomorrow, the Chelsea game wouldn't have done too much damage.

As for Arsenal's 'penalty' - well, that goes some way towards making up for Chelsea's penalty on Tuesday. :p

Oh my. City got a lucky 1-0 win over Wigan after a blunder by Ali Al Habsi. Wigan were extremely unlucky at the end there with Sammon's chance that just went wide off the post.

Arsenal have had something like 15 penalties this season, mostly at home and a number of them very debatable, so their luck was bound to run out eventually.
