I like Ham??k. Jack of all trades, with very good tactical discipline.

Ganso's been a bit hit and miss so far. He's certainly got great potential but will he fulfill it?

He's a jack of all trades, but as Dr.Pepper said, does he have any stand out qualities?

Ganso still has time to fulfill his potential, so there's nothing he should worry about if he works hard. But with all the hype he's getting, I'm not sure whether he would really succeed.

Tata Bye bye 'Pool.....

Carling Cup QF draws:

Chelsea v Liverpool
Man Utd v Crystal Palace :mad
Cardiff v Blackburn
Arsenal v City

Suarez pulling all the strings once again. Absolutely brilliant. Got the penalty and set up Carroll for the second. Henderson isn't a natural wide player and I think Liverpool really needs a wide player on the right side if they are going to use Kuyt and Bellamy as infrequently as this. That being said, he performed his defensive duties quite well. Adam was decent in patches but was playing too much Hollywood football. Lucas was solid. Big Andy was good but I still think that if Kenny's going to play a 4-4-2 it should be with Suarez and Bellamy up top, at least for right now because Carroll still hasn't found his feet yet. However, I do have a lot of time for Carroll. I'm backing him to come good. Enrique has been a bargain buy so far. Great partnership with Downing.

Also, I hope somebody buys Van Persie at the end of the season. Just to fearsome tweak with Arsenal.

Enrique was a fantastic signing. I can't understand why more teams weren't interested in him.

Arsenal vs Chelsea was the best game of the season IMO, thanks to both teams' pathetic defending.

All I can say is thanks Mr. Terry:p.

Well what can I say of yesterday's outcomes? Couldn't have possibly asked for anything better - from City maintaining their five point gap over United, to Liverpool winning and Chelsea losing. Awesome!

Arsenal winning can't be good for Pool.

This season is wide open. Same thing happened last week and I see this happening many more times this season.

I have to commend Arsenal for the way they've come back. Everybody (including myself) was writing them off this season saying they weren't even going to be in the picture by the end of the season but they're only 3 points behind Chelsea who are in 3rd place at the moment (and will stay there if Newcastle don't win/draw on Monday).

Arsenal winning isn't good for Liverpool but it didn't hurt Liverpool this weekend as now Liverpool is only 1 point off Chelsea.

It was a good result for us tbh, given we managed to win our game as well, thereby leaving us only a point adrift of third spot. Plus the fact that I've always had a liking (soft corner you could say) for the Gunners, specially over Chelsea.

Yeah. Other than the true Chelsea supporters I doubt anyone would have that sort of liking for them.

@shravi: Yeah, boy was everyone wrong.

This was the general prediction:

Manchester United
Manchester City
Chelsea
Liverpool
Tottenham
Arsenal

I can almost guarantee that isn't going to happen at the end of the season. Anything could, and will happen.

Plus, Newcastle can hopefully take 6th spot over Tottenham.

The defending yesterday was just abysmal. Can't quite believe AVB tried to play an open attacking game and worse of all, deploy a high offensive line against Arsenal! :facepalm

Anyway, five of the 'Big Six'(Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, City, United & Spurs) have already been at the wrong end of a thrashing and/or freak result. Only City have yet to experience it. Anyone willing to bet when would that happen? :p

City still have to face Liverpool, Arsenal and us in the league.
