Hargreaves would've hardly been a solution. The same is with Javi Martinez. Fletcher and Hargreaves operate in the same role, and Fletcher would be a better option than Hargreaves. Ganso would be a high risk, he's unproven, and he is an attacking midfielder. If there is the need for an attacking midfielder, then Sneijder would be a better choice.

Why isn't Montolivo mentioned here? His contract seems to be running out next year, which means he'll be available on a free transfer, unless he signs a new one with Fiorentina, which is a highly unlikely thing. He can also be signed during the Winter transfer window.

I still say, if Hargreaves would have not been injured at all he would have been the solution to our midfield problem. Anyways we need to get someone like Modric or Javi Martinez or maybe even Ganso or Hamsik.

Martinez is a wonderful player and I'm sure a lot of clubs will be interested in him. Hamsik lol? Not the right kind of player and not even good enough. Ganso, as good as he is, is definitely a number 10 rather than a central midfielder.

Montolivo would be a great signing for any club!

Javi Martinez would be an excellent long term replacement for Carrick.

Don't Martinez and Fletcher play the same role?

The best player to buy would have to be Montolivo. He would also be available on a free transfer, another very important reason to buy him. But United would want to buy him, they would face heavy competition.

And who would score Chelsea's 6000th goal? On FB, a lot say Torres, but I think Luiz or Sturridge will do it.

Everton at Goodison next - not what we really needed after the City debacle.

Why bother? They'll probably be a little bit tired after majority of their first team players played 120 minutes of football against us in the Carling Cup. Furthermore, Drenthe - one of their more dangerous players at the moment - is out suspended after picking up two yellows in the game last night.

----------

As for Evra, there's no way Fergie would let him go. He absolutely loves him.

Not saying SAF should let him go but just go get an experienced full back. Surely he will realize Evra's form has been below par in the last few months.

Don't think Luiz is gonna start against Arsenal. We played with nine men last weekend against QPR and Luiz looked pretty tired at the end of it. He then played 120 minutes against Everton last night. And we wouldn't want his rashness to cost us more points, certainly not in this game where we have to get back on track!

That's disappointing. I was hoping, given Bosingwa's suspension, Luiz may play as right back. Think he's much more suited as a fullback than a centre-back or a defensive midfielder as some have suggested.

That's right - ha ha, they're going to be cream crackered. :D

Nah, they'll put up a good fight, as they usually do. We haven't won there for a few years.

Ganso and Hamsik are really great players. They'd be good for United I reckon, but I'm hoping they choose Arsenal instad:p.

Hamsik is highly overpriced, its the same with Ganso. I don't think Hamsik would be able to survive in the Premier League, but maybe Ganso can.

The way Hamsik has a way of dominating the game, I think he'd do fine in the Premier League. Mind you, I've only seen him a handful of times, but in those times, he truly had a nice hold on the game.

They may be overpriced, but they are still some good players IMO.

I'm not really a fan of Hamsik. He's important to Napoli but I don't think he'd cut it at a big club. Too inconsistent and no stand out qualities.

Ganso has a chance of being a good player. But I don't think Hamsik will do it. And his inconsistency too is a problem. He's already entering into his peak years, and there are lots of better players than him, with a few being cheaper as well.
