I hope not, given they're the only real threat to Man Utd's title hopes now. If only we'd won our home games against Sunderland, United and Norwich would we have sat comfortable with 24 points at second place! :facepalm The more I think about it, the more it pains.

Btw, anyone saw Mancini's interview on Adam Johnson after that win over Wolves midweek in the Carling cup? Was an absolute tool there. What more does Johnson have to do in order to please him is beyond me really!

Couldn't find the concerned video, but this should be enough I guess.

Then think less about it. :p

I think what Mancini isn't happy about is Johnson's discipline off the ball. He maybe great when he has the ball but when the opposition is having it, he sometimes doesn't do enough defensively. I think that is what Mancini wants him to improve on.

Still, that really shouldn't have been the words let out by Mancini especially when Johnson had come off a truly sensational game, having scored one (classy goal if I might add), and assisted two as well.

Then think less about it. :p

Haha, that's what I did over the last two seasons when we weren't even in the picture. :p

Good win for us yesterday, but the plastic lot won as well. Shame their owner wasn't done for money laundering instead of Leicester City's. How amusing that would've been. :)

Man when Ledley Kings plays like he did yesterday, it makes you pissed that he is so injury plagued. Easily the best English defender ATM.

What are Tottenham's stats this season for when King has played? Haven't they won every game?

He is the best defender of his generation, certainly in England. I love the man more than any other footballer.

Is there anyone in the history of the modern professional game that you could say doesn't train due to chronic knee problems, and can just turn up and play any team in world football and look world class.

Over the last 8 years in the Premier league, Tottenham have a 61% win percentage with Ledders playing, and a 50% record when he's injured. Even more remarkable when in some of those years we weren't actually that good, and that you have to consider that over the last few injury plagued years, he has either been playing with one knee and is generally saved for games against the top teams.

With better knees he would have been one of the top defenders in the world for the last 8 years. What a player, what a man, Tottenham legend! :)

@ Shravi - Yes we have.

Hmm, I'll ignore the fact that at times Dawson has to lead our back line by himself, covering for either Gallas or Kaboul being out of position or the fact that Bassong is woeful. When King and Dawson partner each other, Spurs nearly always win, and they nearly always keep a clean sheet.

Good old Ledders :)

I find that Dawson is at fault for a lot of goals I see Spurs concede but I don't watch Spurs consistently enough tbh.

When he's good he is a very commanding centre back. He's often at fault for conceding a lot though.

That's normally because he has to constantly cover for either Gallas or Kaboul being out of position, or the fact Bassong is a walking disaster.

There was a time when Dawson was more of a second centre back. Good when played alongside someone commanding like King but not good enough to lead by himself. However the season King was out for ages, he really matured as a leader and was key in our good form. When he got injured our results suffered massively having to rely on Gallas and Bassong. Unfortunately, he's not really been able to stay fit at the moment, but he's a definite top 5 Premiership centre-back now, and only just coming into his prime.

If he could cut out the ridiculous amount of 60 yard diagonal balls he hits to tiny wingers he'd be even better :)

... Not gonna lie, I've barely missed a Spurs game for 5 years haha

Fair enough, you seem to know your stuff when it comes to Spurs.

On the subject of Spurs defenders, Assou-Ekotto is a really solid left back, he makes so many interceptions. Doesn't seem to get that much praise.
