And needless to say, that this was Liverpool's best outing too? Atleast for me.

----------

Had Liverpool turned all their home draws into wins, they would be in second right now, just a point behind City!

Painful feeling, you know. Specially those draws against Norwich and Swansea! :(

Joe Hart was different class today - without a performance of that nature, City would've lost and lost quite heavily as well. Since City dropped points for the first time in 1,000 years, it's even more infuriating that we got two such stinkers in yesterday's match.

Hart probably had one of his best games against Liverpool. Especially his saving of Adam's shot that would've probably gone in had it been somebody else.

And RIP Gary Speed, just saw it in my morning newspaper, at first couldn't believe it.

The best you can get on them at the moment to score over 100 league goals is 8/11, and that's after only 13 games. Their goal difference is +31, which is almost twice as much as the second placed red mancs have (+17). They have already scored 43 league goals this season.

If they keep scoring at this rate, they'll score over 125 by seasons end. Dzeko and Aguero alone have scored more league goals this season than the entire team put together. They're going to absolutely conquest the league this season.

Just wow! Incredible character portrayed by our lads to go out there and win just 48 hours past our Premier League match against City - who also won btw :p. Easily the best performance of the season as of now. Coates and Kelly were just outstanding in defence, while Henderson and Lucas were mightily impressive at midfield - the latter has had such a cracking season until now. Bellamy was as reliable as ever assisting both our goals with superb deliveries. Carroll was absolutely shocking though - that has nothing to do with his penalty miss btw. Looked extremely lousy on the night!

Indeed, which was a very pleasing sign for us, especially after he'd come through a rather mediocre debut against Stoke in the Carling Cup Round of 16, where he was to blame for the only goal we conceded.

Just OOC, whom do you support swacker? :p

Too many Liverpool members here. Even I do like them a bit.:p

Pfft, the United fans here easily outnumber us. 2006-07 was a period when the Champions League thread happened to be flooded with a number of Liverpool fans.

Yeah, well - let's see how they cope with 'squeaky bum time' - they will have their bad run, every team does. And we know how to overhaul 'runaway leaders'. ;)

We've been garbage tonight and Palace have been great. I wouldn't put it past them to win tonight, they would deserve it. Their support has been great as well whereas ours has been beyond woeful. I think I've heard one airing of 'Stretford End Arising' and that's about it! Sing up, Utd fans!!

Edit: And there you go. Palace's goal was definitely offside, but we simply didn't play well enough tonight.
