Btw, heard that United are winless at Villa Park since 1995?! This just has to be the day to breaking that hoodoo.

What was Black and White that just got smoked? 4-0 if it were not for Lampard's horror penalty. Welcome to Sports Direct Arena, Newcastle. :wave

I thought the scoreline flattered Chelsea a bit. Things might've worked out differently had Luiz been correctly sent off early in the match.

Worst game I've seen this season. Utd's wingers are all horribly out of form. You can talk about needing a new central midfielder all you want but that doesn't mean the wingers can perform like that.

Really?? I'm sure we've beaten them on numerous occasions. Well in any case, if that's true, it did indeed come to an end today. Good, solid performance in what could've been a tricky little game. Meanwhile, the Blue muppets are still winning easily. :facepalm

The wingers will regain their form, but the midfield can't magically develop another level of creativity. ;)

Haha don't worry, I did post this later:

Sigh, that's right. I just happen to remember the 2002-03 season when United beat them 1-0 courtesy of Becks.

It was Villa who were winless against Utd since 1995. :p

While that was a defo RC foul, I think Ba (or whoever was fouled then) was marginally offside, which rules out any other event that occurred simultaneously - that includes Luiz's foul. But yeah, he can be such a donkey at times when it comes to defending - so easily can be manipulated.

In terms of the play and possession, then probably but not when you considered the amount of clear chances we got compared to Newcastle's. IF our players had been more clinical or Tim Krul did not make those saves, we would have won by more than just 3-0.

For Luiz, well he really gives people heart attack with his defending. Need to see again whether Ba was actually offside but given how things went, he probably should have been sent off. However, Newcastle got lucky last weekend when they got a penalty that never was. Unfortunately for them, things even itself out yesterday.
