Talking about good goals, Walkers strike was pretty good too

If only it was a left footed strike and curved the same way, surely the goal would be considered one of if not the greatest freekicks of all time.

Sad to see Arteta's freekick overtaken, but I must say Walker's is better.

Did Walker's not take a little deflection on the way though? I find it hard to count anything that gets a deflection on it :)

Pretty sure there's a deflection off the top of the guy on the far right who tries to charge it down that causes the ball to get a bit more loop and whip on it... Pretty sure ;)

Come to think of it I think I heard the commentators stating that there might have been a little deflection, not sure though.

What a Strike that was, undoubtedly the most improved player of the season he is.

Watch the one where the commentator says, "a little deflection."

Heh, yeah it's the same video I imagine, and fairly inconclusive. I do seem to remember seeing it a lot more clearly on the 100th replay Sky showed though :)

Even if there was a deflection, it was minimal, the ball was still destined for the back of the net either way.

Bloody hell Abou Diaby. Great player, undoubted talent, but seriously, four games this season and now no chance of Euros is pathetic.

I trust Wenger and I understand Diaby is one of his biggest projects, but really he needs to go this summer.

Problem with Arsenal though is the worst players get payed massive wages, so no-one wants them, and with his injury record, looks unlikely anyone will want him. I wouldn't be surprised if Squillaci was still there next season.

I reckon it'll be a draw at St. James' Park, with City getting a win next week, and Man Utd dropping points at The Stadium of Light with a win this week.

That would be typical of this season, but I don't agree - if we're top of the table going into the Sunderland game, we'll win.

FA Cup today, isn't it? It's barely registering on my radar. It's not just because Utd aren't in it - it's the timing of the game. The FA Cup should be a standalone game held when the league is over, like it was before. Holding it now during the season devalues it even more in my opinion.
