Joe Allen has completed all his attempted passes in the first half, according to ESPN.

That's great.

Frastration?

They should've signed a big player. A striker who was top scorer in Ligue 1 for a season with Belhanda at his back shouldn't be the first choice striker. Podolski is really not a good leader of the attack, I'm hardly convinced he's going to succeed at Arsenal. The only thing that is positive is that Germany and Arsenal use the same trident attack formation, so there's hope for Podolski after all......

It'll be tough, but getting a quality forward with a proven goal-scoring record (someone like Higuain) and a defensive midfielder (Wenger does seem to be searching for a player of that type) should be fine. Although another attacking midfield addition would be great......

What A Great Free Kick By Suarez

Ugh, a point against the champions but it feels like two points lost. Gerrard, Suarez, Kelly, Sterling, and Allen were all superb today. Shelvey was quite worrying. Decent going forward but very rash in the tackle. Skrtel had a good game apart from the goal he gave away. Feel sorry for him, but there are no real excuses, really. Just a lapse in concentration, and that's all Tevez needs. Borini was disappointing again. I hope there's more to come but his linking with Gerrard was poor and he didn't read many of Gerrard's passes and runs. Should have scored in the first half as well. Coates had a shaky game as well. Looked a little out of his depth- sluggish, not composed on the ball, and a little unaware of his positioning.

Still, lots of positives. Hopefully we can get our first win on the board soon!

Three 100% records left then. Chelsea, Everton and Swansea.
Disappointed with all the Man U fans who read the poll question as "who do you want to win the title?" ;)

Shelvey I thought was actually good today, for once.

Typical Liverpool though, spurning away goal scoring chances, dominating the game, yet self destructive enough to deprive us off maximum points.

----------

Worrying points: Yet to score from open play and already five points behind our bitters.

----------

Positives: Pretty much our entire team today but if I'm gonna have to single out players, it has to be Sterling and Joe Allen. The former was signed for just 500k at the age of 15 from QPR, while ?15 million for the latter looks more like money well spent than my initial facepalm reaction. Similar outings as these, and we're in for a very good season.

Demb?l? was a beast today.

Yea Belgium got some seriously talented young players at the moment. If they all continue to develop, the world should expect something special from them in world cup 2014 and Euro 2016.

Random vid. Looks like an interesting documentary.

What a game today between Liverpool and City. I can't believe how jammy City are at the moment - first, they get away with it against QPR, then against Southampton, and today they're absolutely gifted two goals by Liverpool. Still - gap cut to one point only, that's the main thing from our point of view.

From City's point of view, I'd be a little bit worried. They're giving the ball away much more, and the defence looks shaky at best. From Liverpool's point of view, there are good signs - especially that young kid Sterling! Eligible for England and Jamaica, is he? Forget that - get him in an England shirt at the earliest possible date! He looks very special - have Liverpool done it again with their youth academy? :)

Nope, I understood the question perfectly, and answered it appropriately. ;)

Off the top of my head, all their talented players except Witsel play in England too:eek:.

That just wouldn't happen. What top class forwards are available really? The likes of Cavani and Falcao are a pipe dream even for the likes of Chelsea and Machester City.

Belhanda is a great player, but he isn't half the player Cazorla is.

These two have been thrown in the deep end immediately, both were unfit last week (should be fixed by next week at the latest). Stoke away is the hardest game of the season in many ways for us, I was expecting a loss, so a point is just fine. It's pretty much a derby match, Stoke vs Arsenal for many reasons. Not happy, but I am confident we'll do fine at Anfield. Score as well.

People need to realise that to be a good player, the player doesn't need to play for a huge club or have a huge transfer fee and the player doesn't have to be either some wonderkid like Hazard. That seems to be the reason why everyone thinks our three new signings are average. Hell, they probably think Joe Allen is better than Cazorla because he was signed for more:lol. Koln weren't exactly in the strongest bargaining position as Podolski wanted to leave and was in the last year of his contract, and Koln also got relegated. Giroud had an incredibly low release clause, and the Montpellier owner admits they got a terrible deal.

Podolski is fine at leading the attack. He didn't do well as a central striker last week as he was clearly unfit, his fitness is improving though. He was a one-man team at Cologne, he's fine anywhere in the forward line.

Just like you can't say Swansea will win the league after two games, you can't say players were bad when they really weren't. Both Giroud and Podolski did a lot more than RVP did for Man Utd in the last week (except score a flashy goal - which Giroud almost did), and now people are acting as if RVP is going to score 40 this season and Giroud and Podolski won't score all all season.

Don't want a defensive midfielder. I'd take one but I'd want them to play in more of a B2B role, but with a brain and with strength. A bit like Song but better tactically and slightly more disciplined. Guys like Fellaini, Lars Bender (more of a DM) and Dembele would be on the top of my wishlist, we'll end up with someone worse for sure though. An AM isn't needed, I'd like a winger and a B2B midfielder. A guy who can play across the back-line would be amazing too.

Anyway, I welcome this. I remember Liverpool and Spurs fans saying they were so much stronger than Arsenal a few games into last season, look how that turned out:lol. Also the media saying we were in a relegation battle.

Only real concern I have is the team is far too reliant on Cazorla creatively.

Llorente is a good player to get, any team can really steal him cheaply. The only problem is that he's got Athletic in his heart, and only hates Bielsa at the club. (Could easily be resolved soon maybe.)

But maybe yes, I was a bit harsh in my opinion. Arsenal have Wenger, who's one of the best.

Llorente is good but too similar to Giroud. Would cost around 15 m, but we'd need to get into a bidding war with Juve which Wenger won't do. Don't want him anyway, we need different options. Would prefer Jovetic or Jesus Navas if we were after a forward, but neither will happen. We've been linked to both though.

Still, we are far from even having CL qualification guaranteed.

Wenger is a good manager, and his new assistant Steve Bould has really shored up the defence. Especially against set pieces looks like zonal marking is preferred. However he still needs to make some good deals this week, and frankly, I don't think he can. He'll get close, but we get close to so many transfers. We could make a world class team with players we have supposedly had in the bag.

Walcott still hasn't signed. If we want to achieve something, we'll need a forward, a B2B ball-winning midfielder and a versatile defender, and we also have to keep Walcott as an impact sub. Three guys in the last year of contract we are looking at are Isco, Dembele and Yanga-Mbiwa, if we can get them we'll be just fine.
