It's just super hard to break into the Spanish squad, not the XI, the kerplucking squad, that just shows how good they are right now.

Just saw the Arsenal game(again, a day late :rolleyes), super one dimensional is what I have to say about that, they seem to have this one very tiki-taka like style and nothing else to go to when the obvious isn't working. Like what happened to the other side of Arsenal, that very fast counter attacking style(that I've seen in Youtube videos ;)), guess it all went away when the invincibles went away.

It's still there to some extent. You must have seen this, it was a thing of beauty.

We haven't actually had any of the players in this move this season (Bendtner to Wilshere, Wilshere to Fabregas, Fabregas to Nasri, Nasri to a good Arshavin), but this season we have had some pretty brilliant counter attacking moves.

----------

The rubbish I've seen from us this season, yesterday was absolutely fantastic. Our closing down was unbelievable, especially in the second half and we could and perhaps should have been more comfortable - Holt got through a couple of times and Michael Turner had a free header from a corner too. Yes, Arsenal were poor but you have to play well to beat a team like that and we managed it. I'm so pleased to get that first win in the league.

Your defence is far from good enough, yet we struggled to create even a single proper scoring chance. You played well, but we were so off our game it was ridiculous. The goal was a gift from a terrible parry, we showed absolutely no fight, and five of our players (Giroud, Gervinho, Podolski, Ramsey, Santos) did nothing of note other than constantly lose the ball.

You pressed really well though, we had no idea what to do with the ball half the time. I lost count of the amount of times Santos came forward with the ball, but then turned around and hit the ball all the way back to Mannone.

It would've helped if Holt was a bit less selfish too. You could've been two or three up pretty easily.

Just to make a point on the big side issue this weekend, of the many black players from the various clubs, who did not wear anti-racism "kick it out" t-shirts.

As a mixed raced individual, if i was a player i wouldn't wear one. But not because i don't think the FA isn't serious about racism in this country, the John Terry case fall out which i think was handled poorly or in support of the Ferdinand's who have been clear victims of this (especially Rio in his England career).

Just prefer FA, UEFA especially in light of that disgusting incident in serbia recently to just give out harsher punishments to racist people and countries as a way to show their position against racism in football - instead of wearing t-shirts about it.

All this t shirt stuff is all a load of nonsense to me.

What the hell is a t shirt actually gonna do.?

Racism is something passed down through the generations, and you will never get rid of it,

Me as an example I'm 30 if I was a racist which I'm not, watching a load of footballers wear a stupid t shirt ain't gonna change how I feel.

And these black players need to grow some balls, if a fan called me a black what ever, I'd just laugh in there face and gloat on the fact that I'm a millionaire and live the life you could only dream of.

Grown men milking the situation if you ask me

I found the way it was handled pretty distasteful.

I believe in the right to protest and choose, and there was definitely something wrong with trying to force black players into supporting an organisation that they felt had let them down.

white men telling black people how they should feel about being victims of racism, it's a bit rich. (although not a state of affairs that's uncommon, see Lee1981)

I genuinely believe a lot of these black players are now just jumping on the bandwagon of the Anton incident, I don't think that they actually care about being called a black whatever but feel they have to stick together,

They should be stronger than crying over some name calling, as grown men I find it quite pathetic.

Let's not start talking about racism as something that grown men should be able to shake off. No. Discriminating against another person because of the colour of their skin is not only wrong but utterly ridiculous. It is no different to saying a man is a yellow-socked twat. If someone is using racist language, be it on the pitch or in the stands, an example needs to be made of that.

It's obviously not right and those responsible need to be punished, but as adults surely we can rise above name calling as this is all it is.

Ha funny you should say this, because on twitter for example Ash Cole i know usually does this to fans who hate Chelsea who like to shout drivel @ him on that social media.

But overall i do agree with you assertion that possibly a lot of the black players have jumped on the bandwagon of the Ferdinand incident. While Rio himself is clearly pissed as to how the Terry incident caused him to miss the EUROs.

Ferdinand has bee dead quiet though and he probably should speak out for reasons Martin Samuels said here: Rio Ferdinand and Sir Alex Ferguson anti-racism t-shirt row - Martin Samuel | Mail Online

Yellow-socked twats should be spat at and defecated on.

Good article

So what more do players like Roberts and Ferdinand expect the kick out campaign to do?

I must be missing something, it has done so much to rid the game of racism, but in reality there is only so much it can do, maybe it's as good as it will ever be, and the odd incident is certainly not the end of the world
