English Media is BIASED just because HART is English they dont criticize him

On hart, this is interesting take on the matter: BBC Sport - Premier League latest: Villa v West Ham and Man Utd v Everton

BBC Radio 5 live Sportsweek
Speaking of Joe Hart, Manchester City goalkeeping legend Joe Corrigan has his own theory about why the England keeper has been somewhat sloppy of late. And no, it's not down to him losing concentration, or believing the hype that followed his performance against Borussia Dortmund in September that saw him hailed the best keeper in the world.

Corrigan told BBC Sportsweek that goalkeeper Joe Hart's error in letting Rickie Lambert's shot squirm from his grasp and allowing Steve Davis to score Saints' second goal in their 3-1 win can partly be attributed to the fact he rolls up his sleeves.

"Joe is a brilliant keeper, but what I cannot understand, and nobody has ever explained to me, is why with the ball being as shiny and moving so much, do goalkeeper wear short-sleeve shirts?" Corrigan says on BBC Radio 5 Live.

"They have these new rubber latex gloves at one end of their arm and then they have skin between there and the shirt, which creates another slippery surface.

"If you look at the [Southampton] goal from behind, it shows the ball hit Joe in the area which was not covered by the goalkeeping shirt, so situations like this will happen."

So far, so good: 2-0 up at HT Giggs and RvP. :)

That's twelve points clear; effectively, with the goal difference, thirteen clear.

Oh no! :(

What on earth are those 2nd and 3rd kits?

Did they allow the design to be done by holding a competition for kids with learning difficulties?

It's as if there was a competition to make them worse than this season's away and alternate kits. That's a real challenge. Unfortunately, they've succeeded. And in some style.

On the bright side, the home kit is virtually identical to this season's home kit, which is my favorite Liverpool home kit (probably ever).

Commanding defensive mid-field performance from Jones. Maybe United don't need to buy a hard tackling mid-fielder if he continues to play like this.

Wilshire is rightfully getting all the hype as the next biggest English talent, but if Jones can master his ability to play defensive mid, right-back & center half - he will have to enter that conversation.

Hopefully they're just the rumored kits, because the away and third kits just look plain awful. Apparently our deal with Warrior Sports is such that there will be 3 new kits each season to enhance our revenues through shirt sales. Two of these kits probably won't attract many though. :/

Perhaps Sir Alex knew what he was doing all along. Again. ;)

Jones was all over Fellaini and was the reason the Belgium didnt influence the game like he did when we meet earlier this season. If he wants to be a holding midfielder he needs to improve his distribution.

I don't think it was, particularly. It was a factor, for sure. Our overall play was poor. Baines and Pienaar didn't get to link up very often at all. Teams that have countered that threat have generally kept us fairly quiet all season as in most games our right hand side has been week (jagielka and naismith isn't exactly a strong right side)

Mirallas got us into a lot of positions on the right and we squandered them, probably due to being isolated as Neville doesn't have the legs to support him much.

It's a lot easier to keep him quiet when the service into him is poor, and the options he has are blocked off. Stopping the left hand side was a much bigger reason than stopping fellaini.

I always remember gary neville saying that he decided to retire pretty much after pienaar and baines gave him the run-around. fellaini had been the man in the last two games against united and he was dealt with more efficiently but limiting his options was a huge part of that.

Roberto Mancini's sinking ship at City - ESPN FC

Good read. Personally feel time's up for Mancini but, we'll see...

I would be amazed if Mancini is still there next year, unless he can somehow pull this around (I don't think anyone's pulled back more than twelve points after Christmas before) in which case he'll be given Freedom of the City of Manchester (well, the blue bit anyway). And maybe a knighthood. :p
