Really impressed as well as surprised with Coutinho, because he wasn't half as good for Inter this season as he was tonight. Pleasing signs from Reina as well, reminding us of his 2005-2009 self tonight.

Nice way to warm up for Real by whacking Norwich. Kagawa seems to have chosen today to come of age for Utd as well - I'm expecting him to go from strength to strength now. Rooney was great again and his goal was special. Fifteen points clear - City have until Monday to mull that over. :D

Now for Real. :) Pizza/football night with my mates round for sure!

Some debate from us Norwich fans - the BBC said we had no shots at all, other outlets reporting we managed 1. :p

Never mind. We scored 1 goal and conceded 4 against United last season and got no points to show for it. This season, 1 goal and 4 conceded again, but 3 points. That'll do me. Southampton at home next week, 2 more wins for safety!

Steve, do me a favor, stop rubbing it in you prick! :p:D:lol

Ha ha, sorry about that but the way we lost the title last year - blowing an eight point gap and then losing the damn thing in the last two minutes of the season is still quite raw.

We could win the title at Old Trafford against.... Man City. :D :D :p

Well, it must have hurt because the players have really turned it up this season and of course, us playing poorly has only helped the cause.

Congrats on the title, but the Old Trafford derby is ours. :rolleyes

I think Benetiz had done two very smart tactical things since he has been at Chelsea. Relegated Terry to the bench & noticed that Luiz is better as a deep-lying playmaker in mid-field, instead of a central defender, which he is poor in.

Whoever takes over at chelsea needs to maintain these two key area's for them going forward.

Funny thing is that Suarez fell down twice after scoring. Maybe he's trying too hard to master the art of diving. :D

Wigan were insecure, they burst into life late in the first half but that's it, their second half was a morale breaker. Di santo was making good movements but almost never had the ball at his feet when every other pass could've been better placed.

They needed another plan, two teams with a similar style would cancel out each other and Liverpool were obviously better at it.

Congrats on the title, but the Old Trafford derby is ours.

wouldn't bother me as much if City might have to do the Guard of Honor. :D

Where are all the Arsenal fans? You guys might be about to join the mega rich list, although Kroenke says it won't happen, you know what these things are like.

It is said that the deal, which would reportedly wipe out the club's ?250 million debt, would be dependent on Arsenal qualifying for next season's Champions League.

I didn't know Arsenal were that deep in debt!

You could tell from the snippets coming out of Old Trafford all summer that the players were hurting and hurting a lot. They don't want to feel like that again, and it's been abundantly clear from this year's showing so far. :)

As for the Old Trafford game, there's the small matter of last year's 6-1 to be addressed. :p

wouldn't bother me as much if City might have to do the Guard of Honor.

Yeah, that would be worth losing a game, even a derby. :D

Arsenal seriously need a defensive mid ASAP, not a big money takeover.

A big money takeover wouldn't hurt with regards to that either. ;)

One other thing, I have to call out Mancini again: Utd are lucky to have a twelve point lead? Winning the odd game, maybe that can be put down to luck but a twelve point lead demonstrates consistency and complete dominance over the second placed team. Maybe the gap between the two teams isn't as big as that (neither was it when we lost 6-1 last year), but we've been more consistent, have scored many more goals and now we're adding good defence to that.

That's not luck, Mr Mancini. Enjoy your last few months at City eh? Only a complete twit would back him to still be City manager next season.

In a lot of ways Spurs have been the second best team in behind united this season. The two United vs Spurs game this season were arguably outside the madrid match, the hardest two games united had this season also.

Dawson again was immence. If Hodgson won't pick Ferdinand, Dawson should walk right back into the team for the qualifiers in a few weeks time. Dawson is the only english defender at a major club outside Taylor @ newcastle & Wilson @ celtic that is guaranteed to play weekly. Clearly Dawson is the better of the three.

Feel sorry for Wenger. Always got a soft spot for that team after growing up watching them being such solid team from late 90s - mid 2000s.

This is only & last time i will cosign something piers morgan says, but Wenger should just quit while his dignity is intact. He deserves that much.

The gunners sadly are behind spurs now & Chelsea even with all their worries are the preferred london destination for the better players in the world. With them unlikely to get c-league place, they are not going to get any major stars next season. A real dark day result for the gunners this...

Lol, think you have to win 7 of the final 11 games to finish off the league and sadly(:D) for you guys, the derby is the 5th game. :p

All I have to say is that the table never lies.

No secrets in success for Mancini - ESPN FC

Been saying this for ever, this is just the way Mancini "rolls", his way of man management perhaps...

Why aren't more people talking about Juan Mata alongside Suarez, RVP, and Bale for player of the season? He has been Chelsea's best player by some distance and has turned in world-class performances week after week.

We all know Suarez is not going to get it because he won't get any votes. I think RVP will get it.

Luis Suarez: 21 goals, 4 assists
Juan Mata: 10 goals, 9 assists
Gareth Bale: 15 goals, 1 assist
Robin Van Persie: 19 goals, 8 assists

Yeah, it'll most likely be RVP, title winning run and all, can't see how he misses out tbh.
