Last two years Scott Parker & RVP won the award & of course their teams didn't win the league.

If Suarez ends up with more goals than RVP come the end of the season, i'd say he would deserve it more.

Even if United doesn't win the league and Suarez has more goals than RVP, Suarez still won't get it. Nobody's going to vote for him.

I know, but winning the title and all will only help his case...

In terms of how RVP and Suarez proved to be Influential in converting loses and draws to wins, RVP has the edge over Suarez, he'd be the top contender by the end of the season.

Liverpool have had a delayed surge, if Suarez ends up getting Liverpool close to the top 4, (which is unlikely in its own case) or at least close to it and also presuming he stays as the top scorer at the end of the season. He might get a say for being the pioneer of his team and saving Rodgers his face especially when Liverpool were lacking depth and were awfully shaky.. That's the only likely scenario which would see Suarez get his credit.

I doubt whether takeover would happen, the source is the Sun, but even then, Kroenke wouldn't sell. After all the guy rejected big money from a fellow board member to be pumped into the club.

The source is actually The Telegraph.

My bad, didn't notice that.

Sun got another article of this thingy too.

I think i'm going to enjoy the relegation battle this year. All of QPR, Villa, Reading, Southampton & Wigan are in obvious danger given this weekend's results.

On Paper QPR is strongest team on paper of them all, so if Redknapp gets them playing to potential, they really should stay up now.

Wigan may or may not be able to survive this time. And i seriously reckon Villa will follow West Ham & Newcastle of recent seasons & become a the latest traditional club to go down.

Down goes Rodwell again... :noway

Ye its sad for him, was looking good in last two games. Beginning to worry that injuries could mess up his future & force him out of football. His injury problems is reminding me of Darren "sicknote" Anderton & Jamie Redknapp.

Dazza at least played more than a few complete seasons... Rodwell has yet to complete one I think?

Such a scenario would certainly mean Suarez would have to get it.

I realized & i think Harrinath mentioned this before. Even if Liverpool do a good enough surge to into a europa league place, ENG just have one left for next year because Swansea won the League cup nonsense.

So a late season surge could mean nothing for the Reds unless they finish 5th.

He probably did in the early 90s, but when i started watching football during the EURO 96 season, i never saw him complete a season.

What are you talking about? Swansea are representing the English leagues.

Suarez has scored 45% of Liverpool's goals this season while van Persie has scored 24% of United's goals...
