Can't believe Ferguson still backs him. His work rate is definitely one to be admired of, but is he really at the levels of Man United? I don't think so.

I do, he deserves to play for the U-21's.

Just no. Unless of course you meant the San Marino U21s...

The new Heskey?

That's being a bit unfair - he doesn't fluff chances at the level Heskey does and remember, he's often played out wide so his chances at goal will be reduced further. And he's already scored five goals for England. ;)

I was one of those guys who would come in support of Suarez whenever and wherever, but this, no, just no.

I don't even know how one could defend this act, he's tried to bite a chunk out of Ivanovic's arm without even being remotely provoked, so like I said in the earlier post, he's put Liverpool the club and Brendan Rodgers the manager in such a tough spot that the only way to move forward would be to sell him.

Tyson's following him on Twatter.... ahahahahahahahha.

Well it's nice to see Gareth Bale back out of injury, and back in form. Spurs will have to work hard to keep him, I don't think he'll stay if he can't play CL next season.

Looking forward to some celebration tonight, if we win. :D

I hope he does stay, it's just so bloody boring, as soon as player reaches the level that he'd be classed among the elite in the world people can't fathom him playing for anyone else apart from one of 5 mega clubs.

there really needs to be a wage cap or something. watching modric was a pleasure last year, now he's being rotated in and out a side and played out of position (the exact same thing that stalled him making an impact at tottenham).

I think this should be trust worthy.

When I started supporting United back in 2004, Chelsea were the champions. Had no idea of United's history or anything. Just loved the way Ronaldo, van Nistlerooy, Rooney and Saha played.

Never mind mate - support who you want. I've supported Utd since the mid eighties, just after the '86 World Cup I think it was. The way I see it no matter who you support, as long as you stay with them for your entire life then you're a true supporter. True glory-hunting is when a supporter flits from club to club. Or supports a whole load of top teams as 'backups'.... WorldChampions anyone? ;)

Welbeck's been fine. His finishing isn't too big an issue since he's played 95% of his games out wide but his linkup play has always been very good.

He doesn't deserve to be on the shortlist but don't try and make him out to be some sort of Heskey-lite. He was Utd's best player in both legs against Real Madrid and has generally been very reliable in the big games.

He obviously needs to improve his finishing but he has time on his side at 22 years old.

Oh and glad to see Carrick finally get some credit. He's been a one-man midfield for Utd this season and they'd be tweaked without him.

Poor excuse, any top drawer striker is already close to there peak at this age, especially those with pace, something welbeck actually has going for him, not rocket speed but still not bad, look at Owen, it's just a case of how long they can sustain there peak.

Rooney is another one, peak has long gone.

Messi and Ronaldo apart, obviously they seem to be getting better,

Welbeck will amount to nothing, I'm sure of it, just don't see any quality at all.
