Lol.

Never mind mate - support who you want. I've supported Utd since the mid eighties, just after the '86 World Cup I think it was. The way I see it no matter who you support, as long as you stay with them for your entire life then you're a true supporter. True glory-hunting is when a supporter flits from club to club. Or supports a whole load of top teams as 'backups'.... WorldChampions anyone? ;)

Well, Simon has a backup lined up in Madrid. ;)

And I totally agree, support whoever you want, but be loyal.

What the hell was that, and where did he get it from?

Great performance by the lads tonight: they were clearly well up for it. RvP's second goal...wow. The ball from Rooney was like a Scholes or Pirlo special and RvP's finish was sublime.

Really nice to see Sir Alex singing the Carrick song with the team and the fans. :)

So.... when do we get to sew the golden badges back on? Those white ones just don't look right. :D

Poor excuse, any top drawer striker is already close to there peak at this age, especially those with pace, something welbeck actually has going for him, not rocket speed but still not bad, look at Owen, it's just a case of how long they can sustain there peak.

Rooney is another one, peak has long gone.

Messi and Ronaldo apart, obviously they seem to be getting better,

Welbeck will amount to nothing, I'm sure of it, just don't see any quality at all.

Rooney's peak might have come and gone as a striker, but as a ball playing midfielder I can see a whole new lease of life for him. That ball for RvP's second goal was magnificent.

Anyway, time to go raid Google images for a new avatar. :D

Nothing that amazing around just yet, so that'll do for now. ;)

RvP also might have played himself back into the frame for Player of the Year with his recent form, after that drought.

Yea indeed. With all this typical over-hyped British media reaction to the Rooney situation in which everyone is presuming since he was benched vs Madrid & subbed in the last two games that Fergsuon wants to sell him.

Maybe it is the SAF realizes that Rooney has lost some of his explosiveness as a striker (although he still is a top striker), but is slowing trying to convert him to the Scholes replacement.

Playing mid-field takes a lot more out of you than playing a striker, so maybe by subbing him in these games, he is being eased into the physical demands of role physically long term. But of course i can't read SAF mind.

Just wondering Mr Lee, whats is your view on other English strikers in the league such as Sturridge, Defoe, Carroll if you don't think Welbeck will amount to nothing & that Rooney's peak as a striker has long gone?

Put it this way, we will not be winning any trophies with any of these lot up front

Defoe I like, scores lots of goals and is my first choice, still not world class that top international defenders would be afraid of

Sturridge, on his day has some real quality, just to inconsistent and the fact he has failed at 2 of the big 4 clubs does not fill me with confidence

Carroll, well he again just is not good enough is he, and why do we need to go down the road of having a big lump up top, we need to be avoiding this method at all costs, if we're relying on bringing him in to win us a game consistently then we really are in a bad place as a national team

Welbeck,, :facepalm

Sorry couldn't resist that

RVP second goal was awesome <3 we played very well in the first half not sure what happened in the 2nd half thanks to LOADSHEDDING :(

if I won the league 5.45am would be a ridiculously early finish to the party.

I probably wouldn't sleep for 4 days.

And I'd miss most of the next season due to failing a drugs test.

Apparently, Wenger has compared RvP to a childless woman who is running out of time to have children. If that's an attempt at mind games Arsene, it's pretty crap. Besides which, RvP has a good few years left in him.

You've lost it...
