Twatter users. I think Skater's called it right: they're probably the ones who got themselves all wound up about Mourinho. Moyes is the right choice for me.

Moyes was my pick and I'm glad he was United's pick as well, good man, deserves this.

Moyes is a good choice really, and he deserves a chance at a top club.

Now the overly-harmonised singing is over with, let's see if Wigan can spring a surprise here.

----------

What a chance for McManaman! Wigan cannot afford to pass up golden opportunities like that!

City have been rubbish so far; Wigan are all over them but they have to take one of these opportunities because City will have their chances.

Decent game this.

Another chance for McManaman - what was he doing! Pass the damn ball; there's an open goal!

Well, there you go!! Wigan ahead and only two or so minutes to go. They've thoroughly deserved this lead; they've been by far the better team. Now come on, hold on to this, so we can sing that most annoying of songs to City... ;)

What a joy for United fans! Well deserved Wigan. Hard work, determination and grit is more worth than 110 million quid! Love it!

Congratulations, Wigan! No one gave them a chance, but ever since that game at the Etihad, I was pretty sure that it wouldn't be the walkover everyone thought it would be. And another good omen for Wigan: no FA Cup winner has ever gone down in the same season.

I can't see them going down now - this result will fire them up no end.

Edit: This is the first time Wigan have won a top trophy isn't it? Double congrats!

Really not as painful a loss as some are making it out to be, now, at least Mancini will definitely be out.

David Moyes could win his first ever silverware in his very first game in charge of Man United now. No disrespect to Wigan of course, but I honestly can't see past United in the Community Shield next year.

2010-11: Roberto Mancini
2011-12: Roberto di Matteo
2012-13: Roberto Martinez

Hmm...

Hmm...

No one gives the slightest toss about the Community Shield.

Nevertheless considered a silverware enough to be added into a manager's CV. In Moyes' case, his first ever.

Moyes has won League One before. I'd still rate that higher than the Community Shield.
