Who will win the Premiership?

Just how bad are United? Will we be discussing their hopes of finishing in the top half soon?

I didn't watch their match, but another goalless loss. Gosh.
I'm wondering who's the next Premier League manager eligible for an immediate sack.

Everton winning at OT was a double loss for Moyes. Firstly, Matrinez did what he could never do, secondly, well, he lost :p

They are dire.

Relegation candidates have better players coming off the bench than Anderson, Valencia and Zaha, I swear...

He won't be sacked though, and shouldn't be. Yeah, he's not a great manager, but no manager on Earth could've gotten much more than 4th out of this absolutely pathetic squad. At best someone else would've spent the money more wisely.

Their defence is horrible, that's the main reason why they are struggling. They seem to be decent going forward though, and have suffered from bad luck over the past few matches.

Rvp
Rooney
Kagawa Carrick New Mid(Cabaye?) Nani/Januzaj

A whole new backline?

Could that solve the problem?

Moyes also needs to stop rotating his squad way too often. Substituting Nani for Zaha today was baffling.

Moyes has often got Everton playing well in the second half of the season, so could there be a resurgence?

They aren't at all decent going forward, that is the problem. Rooney is pretty much their one-man team and van Persie occasionally does something.

Vidic isn't half the player he used to be, but he's still doing something of a decent job, at least for a top half side, and so is Evans. De Gea is their best young player and worthy of playing for a title-challenging side when you consider his potential. Evra is the main problem in defence but their attack and midfield are so much worse.

The problem is that buying any players won't do much. They first need to hold onto van Persie and Rooney, especially the latter, and I can't see either sticking around past the summer, with them leaving in January a serious possibility too.

Realistically they need a full new team of players with De Gea and maybe Rafael the only ones good enough to play for them. The rest are either aging. already past it or just lost causes.

There won't be a resurgence with this squad, even if there is it will get them Europa League football at best. They absolutely cannot win the league or even finish top 3 now even if they go on title-winning form for the rest of the season.

I watched their second half with Newcastle, and Nani was a bit decent going forward, don't know how well he played in the first half though.

I read an article a few months back stating that United should try to move for a ball playing defender who could help with possession either in the absence of Carrick or in the case of Carrick being heavily marked. Seems to be a bit true now. And I'll agree with their midfield problems, without Carrick, this team is a mess. Their passing was extremely abysmal at times.

De Gea is brilliant, he almost single handedly prevented Atletico from getting sucked in a relegation battle. Atletico would prefer him any day over Courtois, who's quite good too.

Rafael is good too, a bit perplexing that Moyes has replaced him quite quickly in the last two matches. The only player in the back four that I'd keep ATM.

Evra is most probably gone in the summer, perhaps even in January. Monaco would be heavily interested in getting him.

Nani was lively, best I've seen him in a while and not quite as wasteful as usual. He could be back on track but it's unlikely he'll ever reach his old level, and in any case he was never able to maintain his best level for too long, he lacked consistency.

Rafael is still fairly brainless defensively. I'm not fully convinced by him, but he's better than most of their team.

De Gea over Courtois? I know who I would take.

United need a ball-playing CB? Nah they just need any CB:lol. On the topic of Carrick, he is getting on now. We can't be sure how long he'll be able to maintain his current level.

Mother of god. In just a couple of weeks we could potentially be 10 points clear and top of our CL group:eek:.

Assaidi with one of the most important goals he's scored in his life for Liverpool. Chelsea slip up again, which moves Liverpool back into second. Man City dropping points as well, as did Man Utd. Now, only if Sunderland can hold spurs for a draw or something :D

For the first time this season, I think Liverpool are good enough to challenge for the top 4. Not necessarily due to their performances, but the mediocre play from the rest.

Just realised.. I'll be really pissed if Man Utd happens to win the CL (*statistical possibility*). That would mean the top 3, and Man U get to be in the CL, while the 4th place would miss out. I see the 4th place a 3 team fight between Liverpool, Spurs and Everton.

Do my eyes deceive me?

Hahaha not going to happen :lol

Look at the sidebar of that page... There isn't a single normal result other than the Liverpool one. Man Utd losing, Crystal Palace winning, Man City drawing, Stoke winning, Norwich winning away from home... Who would've expected any of that in these fixtures, let alone all of that at the start of the season?
