Who will win the Premiership?

Moyes' odds to be sacked by the New Year have been slashed, but where does that leave us? In the hands of a caretaker manager?

Another absolutely toothless performance in which we did nothing but play longballs up field all day. That is not the Man Utd way. How many of these players actually want to play for Moyes? Has he 'lost the dressing room'; did he ever have it at all? Sure, Sir Alex was a great manager, but should everything fall apart so dramatically with basically the same squad plus Felliani who admittedly isn't reproducing his Everton form right now.

They are dire.

Relegation candidates have better players coming off the bench than Anderson, Valencia and Zaha, I swear...

He won't be sacked though, and shouldn't be. Yeah, he's not a great manager, but no manager on Earth could've gotten much more than 4th out of this absolutely pathetic squad. At best someone else would've spent the money more wisely.

Well, a certain man got a hell of a lot more than 4th out of this 'pathetic squad' just last season...

Well the simple answer is van Persie and to a smaller extent Rooney alone won the title. There was more of a desire for the 20th title back then from other players, and some of the players have declined a lot more since last season. Evra was a bit better last season, Rafael was playing, Scholes was available, Ferdinand wasn't quite as hopeless as he is now, it goes on.

It's unfair to blame Moyes alone, Ferguson is the one who left him this squad.

True enough, but something that Moyes must be blamed for is the amount of changes backstage. Why change so damn much?

Edit: Everton are passing like Man Utd used to do right now against Arsenal.

Oh and Moyes? Forget the title this year; you're delusional if you truly think we can still win it. Try and get a solid European place and/or win one of the cups.

Fulham played quite well today against Aston Villa, Meulensteen looks like a decent manager TBF.

Everton are a quality side. Best side we've played all season without a doubt.

Arsenal should win this one though, this one reminds me a bit of Dortmund versus Arsenal.

If ever you needed a sign that Man Utd are in trouble, this is it. Their players have resorted to "eating too much."

Odd.
I've eaten too much before. But I've never eaten so much I've had to have my stomach pumped. He must have eaten a shedload.

Also yes, the Japanese are known for eating well. I believe the target is 9 fruit and vegetables a day there. It's only 5 here because that's how many the powers that be think they can convince us to eat.

Bloody hell insane goal of the season strike from Giroud, had to hit the bar though didn't it:rolleyes.

Anyway, still, brilliant game. Still five points clear, at the very worst we will get a point in the two games against City and Chelsea and still be top. I fancy a win against Chelsea and a draw at City though, still well in the lead with that.

Ha hmm with a talent like Deulofeu, it should confirm Spain production line is even stronger as they attempt to defend their world cup.

I'm worried about ENG picking any 30+ mid-fielders other than Gerrard & Carrick for the world cup, especially considering where the first game will be played in the heat. But Barry isn't doing his chances to much harm of making a late charge.

Deulofeu is just one part of their attack though which is scary. Jese Rodriguez is IMO equal to him, he is just breaking into the Madrid first team now, he could use a loan as well tbh. Both have been dynamite in Liga Adelante.

Shout out to Joe Allen who was brilliant against West Ham. He is still finding his feet in this team but we saw more of the Joe Allen from his first few months at Liverpool in that game vs West Ham.

Also, Everton were so good to watch today. The first 35 or so minutes was brilliant football. It was unfortunate they didn't get a goal from top-notch build-up play. Lukaku is such a hard worker, and I thought Oviedo was top class today- an incisive threat, and a real pest. Barry was a constant presence and was at the heart of most things today. Howard was quick off his line and closed off a lot of very good opportunities today.

Ross Barkley needs to improve his final ball, especially when in the final third to set up goalscoring opportunities, but once he combines that with the virtually unmatched drive he has, he will be some player. He can run with the ball at pace and with control. Reminds me a little bit of Gerrard. I think it will be very interesting over the next few seasons to see what looks to be a real resurgence of the Merseyside derby. It hasn't ever been quiet and has always meant so much to both sets of supporters, but now it could actually matter in terms of the table, which is great to see.

Wow - Sky Sports have apparently referred to Moyes as the 'former Utd manager'; either they know something we don't or someone has made a most out of character (for Sky) cock up. :lol

I don't think sacking him now is the way to go - can you really see Utd in the hands of a 'caretaker boss'? Give it until the end of the season; let's see if he can turn it around.

Barkley should definitely be on that plane, but as a squad player - let's not ruin him by saddling him with the entire weight of the nation's hopes and dreams.

I could if that caretaker manager was a certain Sir Alex.

It'll be one hell of a U-turn if he does come back.

Better hope not, he'll probably stick around until he's eighty; remember last time he almost retired? :lol:lol:lol
